We sat there in silence for a moment before I spoke again. "What's you're name?"
"Why should I tell you?"
"Because I asked"
"I'll tell you if you show me you're wings" she says leaning over in her chair, the empty bottles laying by her feet. "I already did" I say doing the same. We stare at each other for a moment before she cracks a smile and leans back again. "I saw something back there. You have a battle scar, and a nasty one at that"
"So what?"
"You're ashamed of it aren't you?"
"Excuse me?" I narrow my eyes at her. "Scars are nothing to be ashamed of, they are proof that you are a survivor. A worrier."
"Then show me you're not afraid, because I think you're just a scared little kitten under that fake armor"
"How dare you Valkyrie!" I draw my blade and point it at her neck. She doesn't even flinch. She looks behind me and smirks. I then realize I am standing over her casing a large looming shadow with my wings. "Damn you" I let out a breath of defeat and put away my weapon. I don't bother putting my wings away as there was no point. "Drink?" She stands up and heads to the fridge. "Give me a beer"
"So, how did it happen?" She gestures to the faded and broken feathers on my left wing. "Long story short, I said I would protect my team at all costs. That meant taking a sword through the wing" I look down at my lap. "You don't seem proud of it?" She takes a six pack out of the fridge and sits back down.
"I'm not.."
"Why wouldn't you be proud of saving someone's life?" She hands me a beer before taking the cap off her own and chugging it.
"Because that person was my sister. The one who betrayed us all and brought an end to the yourshiesk's." I clench my fists by my sides and tighten my jaw in anger.
"Your sister?" She choked "Your sister is-"
"Don't even say her name." I take the cap off mine before chugging it myself.
More silence goes by before I break it again. "I never did catch your name"
"That's because I never threw it" she slurs. "What is it?"
"If I told you I'd have to kill you"
"Whys that?" I look over and she has a serious look on her face. "I've never told it to anyone before" she looks out the large window for a moment. "It will just be between you and me" I give her a light smile. She looks back out the window again and quietly says. "Brunnhilde"
"I'm sorry what?" I try not to laugh.
"I'm not saying it again"
"Alright, alright...Brunnhilde"
"I'll be back" she abruptly stands up with her beer and heads to the door. "Where are you going?"
"To go find sparkles and my champion" The door closes behind her and I'm left alone in the room with a thought to be unconscious Loki.
"That went well" he laughs.
"Shut it" I say finishing my drink and placing it on the counter. I turn to look at him and laugh. "You look so sad in those chains"
"I bet they'd look better on you love" he said with a smirk. I got up, walked over to him and slapped him across the face. "Alright I deserved that one" he said flipping his hair out of his eyes and laughing a bit. "You're such a pester" I sigh "But you love me. How come you're not in chains?" "Because I actually listen to people and I'm not an ass" I smirk. "We'll do you mind getting me out of these?" "Hmmm nah, you look to cute defenseless" I smile and he rolls his eyes.
Suddenly I hear a low grumbling sound coming from the kitchen. I turn around and see one of the small cabinets rumbling. I look to Loki and see him shrug his shoulders, he looks just as confused as me. I pull out my sword and wedge it under the handle, i pull the cabinet open just enough to see a bag of chips fly out and land beside me. The growling sounds extremely familiar, but I can't understand why. I pull the cabinet door all the way open and see Zenix half way in a bag of chips eating through the plastic. "Zenix!" I shout reaching in and grabbing him. He screeches at first but once he realizes it's me he calms down and let's me hug him. "Oh I've missed you little buddy, are you ok? Where have you been?" I ask as I kiss his head and hold him close to my face. "He must have crawled out of my pocket when you weren't looking, I was going to give him to you after the show but this sort of happened" I look back at Loki "Thank you for keeping him safe...I owe you one" I lightly smile at him. I've smiled a lot today...I never smile. Are they making me weak? I- the door opens and I hear Loki say "Surpriseee" in a very monotone voice. The valkyrie or Brunnhilde walks in the door and I see Thor and... Bruce Banner? Thor throws an empty can at Louis head and I chuckle. "Ow" Loki says dryly. "Just gotta be sure" he says as he walks in with Bruce behind him adjusting his pants in the crotch region. "Hello Bruce" Loki says
"So...last time I saw you, you were trying to kill everybody. Where you at these days?"
"It varies from moment to moment" he says in a deep voice. Banner looks terrified.
"So, Sacaar and Asgard are about as far apart as you can get. Out best bet is the vorges outside the city limit. We can be back in Asgard in...ehmm 18 months?"
"Nope" Thor interrupts "We..are going through the big one" he points to the gaping fiery hole in the sky. "The Devils anus?" She asks. Bruce pipes up from the kitchen with a mouth full of food. "Anus?? Wait, wait, wait, who's anus?"
