Gerard Way

One week later

"So, vampires... first originated... in the..." Frank mutters, his fingers hastily tapping the keyboard, his eyes glued to the screen in front of him.

"In Eastern Europe in the late 17th and 18th centuries." I quote, reading out what I read from Wikipedia.

"Right. In the late 17th and... 18th... centuries, in Eastern Europe." Frank looks up from his computer, spinning around on his chair and rolling up to me. "What else have you found?"

I scan my laptop, propping myself between Franks pillows and leaning against his bed frame. "Uh... Most of what I've found is fake."

Frank leans towards my laptop, his face only centimetres away from mine. "Seriously? How do you know?" He asks quickly. I grin, looking at his perfect face. He catches me staring, instantly blushing. "What?" He asks, giggling.

"Nothing," I mutter, planting a soft kiss on his right cheek. He smiles, grabbing my hand and kissing me back.

"So... what kind of fake information did these people write down?" Frank murmurs as he lets go of me, spinning his chair around and around.

"Well, they said that vampires turn to dust in the sun, which we do not. We just burn really badly. And we can not turn into bats, what kind of bullshit is that?" I mutter, scrolling through the Wikipedia page, my eyes narrowed into sceptical slits. "And they skipped the part where we don't leave fingerprints. And we don't sleep in coffins, what the hell-"

"The page was obviously not written by an actual vampire, Gerard." Frank laughs. I roll my eyes mockingly, grinning.

"I can't believe we've had this assignment for nine whole weeks, yet we decide to start it on the last one." Frank sighs, running his fingers through his dark hair.

"Well, there's a lot that's been happening to prevent us from even starting it," I say, not wanting to make Frank stress out.

"Yeah. You almost died, then you weren't allowed to leave the house..."

"And you saved me and Mikey, don't forget."

"And I thought you tried to kill me."

"And then we..." I stop, my mind flying back to the night when Frank kissed me. I feel my face grow hot, seeing Frank's do the same.

"Yeah. And now everything's back to normal." He says, crossing his legs as he balances on the chair.

"Well, not everything... I'm a vampire and your my boyfriend. Never in a million years would I have thought this is what the future looked like." I laugh, placing my laptop to my side and sitting up.

"Yeah, it's crazy. Especially the boyfriend part. But then again, the vampire part is pretty fucking unbelievable as well. And me saving you. I never thought I'd save a person, let alone two people-" Frank points out, but is cut off by my ring tone cutting into the conversation. The screen shows a picture of me and Mikey smiling as widely as we can, and in front of it, Mikey name. I pick up the phone, answering it.

"Hey, Gerard." A panicked voice suddenly mutters to me from the phone.

"Mikey? Are you ok?" I ask quickly, noting the anxiety in his tone.

"Yeah, I'm... fine." A blatant lie. "I was just wondering when you're coming home."

I look over at Frank, his eyebrows creased at my sudden worry for Mikey. "Uh, about three o'clock? Why? Are you ok?" I ask again.

"Gerard, I'm fine. I just need to... it doesn't matter. I'll see you in a couple of hours. Bye." He says blankly, hanging up straight away. I take my phone away from my ear, feeling my heart beat faster and faster.
