TW: Blood/gore?? Idk if it needs it but here it is anyway

"Stay silent. We don't want them hearing us, now do we."

"What do you want from us?" I ask desperately, struggling to release myself from his restraining grip.

"We heard you two talking about vampires. What do you know about us?" A blue-haired woman asks us as she stalks around us, staring me straight in the eye.

"Wait, you're a vampire?" Mikey asks, shock filling his voice.

"I am. And I need to know what you know about us. Talk."

"W-we were just discussing our assignment that's due soon on our way home from school. Me and my friend are doing it about vampires. That's all." I stutter, feeling my hands grow weak from lack of blood flow the man holding my arms is allowing them. He's been gripping my arms like that since he pulled us into the bushes and down into the ravine-like place. I look over to Mikey, whos glasses are terribly cracked from the shove the man gave us down the steep slope, and back to the woman in front of us. "Please don't hurt us."

"Oh, darling." The vampire woman purrs. "Vampires will never hurt you." I breathe a small sigh of relief when she continues: "Unless of course, you do something to anger them, or you bleed. But you know that already, don't you." The woman keeps speaking, still walking around us. My eyes drift up, into the dark branches of the trees all gathered together at the top of the sky, shielding us from the sunlight, making the forest floor a blotchy patchwork of shade and sunlight. A small ravine caves us in, made of dirt and stone, a few weak trees planted here and there.

"Look, kids. We're trying not to let many people know what we are. Strange things have been happening to werewolves we know lately. The government has been killing them because of what they are. We don't want that happening to our species. That's why we... kidnapped you when we heard you talking about-" The guy holding us hostage explains, loosening his grip, but the woman suddenly cuts him off, her hand flying up to her mouth in shock.

"Donna Way..." She whispers, her eyes wide.

"What?" I say, my eyebrows creasing. How does she know my mother?

"You two look exactly like her..." The woman mutters, walking up to us and studying our faces, her hand tracing Mikey's cheekbone.

"That's because she's our mother," I say simply, but the woman explodes at the news.

"Your what?" She yells at me, her hand snapping away from Mikey's face.

"Our mother..." Mikey says gingerly.

"Oh my god. Oh my god." She mutters, staring down at the forest floor. "Do you know what she did to us?" Her eyes drift up to catch mine, the deathly, electric blue of them making me feel minuscule. I shake my head slightly, feeling sweat starting to bead along my forehead. When the hell is going on...?

"Your mother... Donna Way... turned us into vampires." The woman says, her voice breaking.

"What?" Mikey interjects, his eyes wide. No way. She can't have turned these two strangers into vampires. She told us that shes never been able to do that, no matter if shes passed the first five years of her vampire life. She said she just didn't have enough venom in her to do that.

"It's true. Seven years ago, in this very forest, we were just stupid teenagers, out for an adventure in the woods." The man holding us hostage begins in a deep, solemn voice. "We found your mother sitting by a lake, crying. I... I went over to comfort her, but... w-when she looked up, I saw the blood surrounding her lips, dripping down her chin and neck... we ran as fast as we could away from her, but she caught up to us. Said something about not wanting humans to know about this. Then she attacked." He finished, letting out a shaky sigh.
