Alpha's Little Mate

Chapter 4

I wait for everyone to come into my office, my little mate is drawing in the corner in her own little bubble. The way she focus with her tongue sticking out is just so cute.

Soon Daniel, Kane and my gamma, Jean joins my office. "Well well Alpha, I heard of your little mate. " Jean smirks at me while looking at Madeline. She knows that I didn't really want a mate at my age due to me having to run a pack, but since I met her my opinion has changed. "Yes, and that is why we are here. I need one of you to be her guard." Daniel and Kane shuffle around and looking at the ground no doubt not wanting to put up with my very active mate.
"Very well then, all three of you will make shifts in guarding her." Daniel and Kane look like they are going die. While Jean just smirks "Oh come on, how hard can it be watching a girl." They just look at her with knowing looks to each other and I begin to laugh.
All of them stare at me. "This is going to be interesting!"
Madeline looks up from her drawings, finally snapping out of her focus from drawing. "Daisy! K!" she runs over to hug them, she didn't even notice how they entered the room.
Their smiles go wide, I can see she is already deep in their hearts. Jean laughs as she hears Daniels name. He is going to be tortured about that name for years.
Madeline spots Jean, she walks over to her while Jean kneals to her. "Hi there Madeline, I'm Jean." She looks at Jean very suspiciously while circling her. Jean looks at me, looking for an explanation. I just shake my head! How should I know what she is doing?
After Madeline is done she looks at me, "Wolfie, is she a friend of yours?" "Why yes she is Butterfly, her name is Jean." Immediately she smiles. "You J.. Jee Jee." Aahw that's so cute. Jean looks over at me again, "You can't be serious, Jee Jee." Jean hates nicknames.
Just then Madeline begins to cry, Daniel and Kane immediately steps away as I begin to growl. Jean, realizing her mistake, tries to console her. "Ssshhh, I am sorry Madeline, it's Jee Jee oky. Only you can call me Jee Jee oky." Her crying begins to stop and she looks up at Jean with her teary eyes. "And Wolfie?" She laughs, "No not even your Wolfie can call me Jee Jee." and with that Madeline smiles and runs over to me. "You not call her Jee Jee." Her cheeks are puffy and she folds her arms just to show how serious she is. Daniel and Kane is laughing their asses of at Jean, but one look from Jean and they quite down. It's hard to believe they are the delta and beta. "Me like Jee Jee, Wolfie, she nice." "I know Butterfly."
Jean just shakes her head. "This is going to be interesting. What is the plan Alpha?"
"Right, I want you three too rotate patrols watching her, but far enough that you won't be sensed but close enough should something happen. Also, Daniel I would like your little brother to start training as Madeline's personal guard. He is only one year older than her so he would be able to keep an eye on her when we can't."
" It shall be done Alpha!" They said in unison and left the room, leaving just me and my mate.

"Butterfly, will you do something for me." Her big eyes look up to me and my heart already melts. "Sure Wolfie, anything for you." I smile at her, she already means so much to me. "Never let any man touch you oky." She looks confused, but eventually she nodds. "I promise, Wolfie." I held my pinky out for her. "Pinky promise?" She smiles so brightly while she hooks her little pinky with mine. "Pinky Promise." I kiss her pinky and she blushes and looks down like the floor was the most satisfying thing for today. I lift her head up to look at her eyes. "Now your promise is sealed."
She giggles and gives a big yawn, she is already tired and the day has not even started. She crawls up to my chest and lays her head on my shoulder. "I love you, Wolfie." She mumbles while drifting off into her nap. She may not know it, but those words mean the world to me.
My mother was right when she told me that meeting your mate would be the best feeling in the world, that I would have the constant need to be with her,which only makes this harder because she does not recognize me as her mate yet.

I had another sleepless night, if this is how I am going to sleep until Madeline is in my arms I am going to need very strong coffee. "Wolfie!" I feel my mate jumping on my back from the stairs. "Butterfly, don't go jumping like that, you could've been hurt." She mumbles sorry before smiling at me again. "I want breakfast!" she runs to the kitchen and places herself on one of the chairs. "What do you want?" I ask her and she seems to think hars about it. "Cake!" she suddenly shouts with a big smile on her face. "No Butterfly, we don't eat cake for breakfast." I did not want Juliet to be mad at me. She tilts her head.
"But why?" The troubles of having a young mate. "Because... It makes your tummy sore if you eat it before 12." She pouts. "Aahhww, oky." She seems to be thinking again. "Then I want cereal!" Now that I could give her. I get her and myself cereal and we eat in silence while I admire how cute she look.
After she was done she put her bowl in the sink.
"Wolfie watch a movie with me please!!" She jumped onto my lap.
"I can't now Butterfly, but I will tonight when I'm done working, promise."
She eyed me for a few seconds and then smiled.
"Oky!" She kissed my cheek and ran off to the playroom.

Daniel went over to the alpha's house to get paperwork signed but when he entered he found his Alpha sleeping on the couch with Madeline on his arms as she watched Cinderella. He smiled and quietly left.
He knew his alpha needed some sleep.
