Chapter 30

William

"Juliet, please calm down. I'm sure Madeline is fine." I watch her pace a hole in the floor.
"I can't be calm William! She just got out of a coma and wanted to rush to Ethan, how am I suppose to stay calm!" I give her a hug in the hopes to calm her down. "Trust her and Ethan my love." She takes a deep breath, "You're right, I just need to calm down." I feel her relaxing against me. "What would I do without you?" She looks up at me with that smile that makes me fall inlove with her even more. "I would assume that you would paint much more than you do now." I smirk and laughed when I see how she blushed. "Shut up William!" In the moment I grab and kiss her.
"And here I taught that I would see you walking like a mad woman." She ripps away from me. Madeline is standing at the door with Ethan behind her. "Honey I can..." Juliet attempts to explain the situation. I've never met Madeline because Juliet said she wanted to wait until we got serious. The night Madeline got attacked was the night we decided to tell her, so we never got to that point. "So this is the eye candy with the drool worthy biceps?" I look slightly confused at Juliet only to find out that she is as red as a tomato, if not redder. "You heard that?" Madeline smiles, "Yeah, I heard bits an pieces." Madeline shrugs, but then she runs into her mother's arms and they both are in tears. This is completely awkward for me but Ethan seems to be used to it.
"Oh my baby!"
They stayed in their embrace, showing a beautiful bond between mother and daughter. Ethan smiled at them, Ethan knew how much stress Juliet has been under.
After a while they finally let go of each other. "Now Momma, tell me who is this beef here?" Looking at me, Ethan growled and I immediately bowed my head slightly in show of respect for another alpha, while Madeline giggled. "Oh my Wolf, you're the only one for me." She kisses his cheek and he calms down. I take a deep breath of relief. He didn't need Ethan waging war on his own pack. She then looks at me. "Come, let us sit, I'll get some tea." Ethan followed Juliet, "I'll help you Juliet." Leaving me with Madeline, I was a little out of breath when I saw that her blue eyes, one was now silver. "William Brown, Alpha of the Northen Crescent Pack, your wolf's been hiding that he is my mom's second mate, why is that? It must have been extremely painful for you and your wolf. I know now from how Ethan was and what he told me." Her tone was now completely different, it sounded so other worldly. Her eyes pierced right through me. "My wolf told me that I was your mother's second mate when we smelled her, we knew from my parents what the loss of a mate could do. I didn't want her to feel forced by the mate bond to love me. She would love me in her own time, and not through knowing that I was her second mate. I wanted to respect your father in her heart. I didn't want her to feel that I was replacing her first mate." I look down as if my hands were the most fascinating thing right now. Madeline's gaze was to intense for him, even as an alpha. "That's beautiful, my mother is so lucky to have you in her life, she deserves a lot more sunshine than I can give her. From the moment she met you I knew she was happier and now I know why. You should let her know, she won't reject you." I look up to see her eyes back to their normal blue. She was smiling wide at me." I've wanted to aske you Madeline, if I could... "
Before I could ask my question Juliet and Ethan walked in. Madeline immediately brightened up when she sees Ethan and Ethan the same. It amazed me how tense he was without her by his side. Juliet took her seat beside me and Madeline smiled like a Cheshire cat.
"I take it that you now feel Ethan as your mate?" Juliet ask Madeline. She nodded happily, "Oh yes, my wolf said it was time. She couldn't keep the bond closed any longer since my feelings for him has grown." She blushes.
Juliet sighed, "Oh well it can't be helped, but no mating till she is of age. Got that Alpha?" Juliet spoke with authority and I was amazed at how she talked to her own Alpha like that. "Yes Mam!" Ethan salutes her. I knew he didn't like the idea very much. No Alpha would like the idea of not mating their mate.

We hear someone running to the house, it got me on edge, but Madeline just giggled again. Ethan stood up with his hands in surrender. "I'm not here for this, I don't think my wolf can handle this right now." He left the room and leaving me confused. The door burst open, revealing two men. "Cupcake!" "Lin-Lin!" They stormed for Madeline and she opened their arms for them. "Oh thank the moon goddess, you're alright!" The both were rambling and Madeline laughed. "Calm down! One at a time please." In my mind I saw them as puppies who's owner is finally back after vacation. Juliet left as well and I took that as my que as well. "Hey William." Madeline calls me. "You have my blessing." She smiles and I couldn't be happier that she gave me her blessing. Now I just had to ask Juliet and hoped she won't be mad when she finds out that I am her second mate.
