Today was busier than usual for Ethan, he has been swamped with paperwork since he came back from his meeting with the king. He has yet to see his mate which didn't help his mood at all.
"Wolfie!"
His crying mate burst into the room. His attention immediately on her. "Come here Butterfly." He pats his lap and she happily sits on it while still hiccuping as she cries. He swipe her tears away. "Why are you crying?" She sniffs and her teary blue eyes peak up from his shoulder. "One...one of the boys in our class said that I am ugly." She continues to sniff and press her face back into his neck. He feels her tears on his skin. He was mad, mad at two things.
One, someone called his mate ugly and two, he knows boys that age call a girl ugly because they like them. "Well you are pretty to me so it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks." He rubs her back to calm her. "You think I am pretty?" She mumbles from his neck. "Very pretty Butterfly, prettier than all the Disney princesses." He kiss the top of her head. She yawns, probably tired from all the crying. "Good, because I thaught that if one boy calls me ugly that you wouldn't like me anymore."
Oh Madeline. "You will always be pretty to me, no matter what." She yaws again. "Will you be my prince Wolfie?" Her voice told him that she was close to falling asleep. "Yes I will Butterfly." He feels her smile and soon she was fast asleep.
Feeling her safe in his arms made him feel at peace.

"Ethan we've got to..." Daniel walks in but pauses when he sees a sleeping Alpha with the little Luna on his lap. He smiled and took a picture for the future. He will not wake them up for now, Ethan was overworked. He needs his mate right now. "Sleep well Ethan and Maddie." And he slowly exit the room.

~Austin & Dawn~

"Daawwn, there is an oh so sexy handsome guy at the reception for you." One of the nurses, Quinn, gushes.
Dawn let out a silent growl. She didn't like anyone looking her mate like eye candy. "I don't want to see him." She was still horrified by the scene she walked in on. He was beating up some guy so bad. It scared her so much, it reminded her of her abusive uncle. "Come on Dawn, he has been comming here for days. Waiting for you the whole time."
"No, I don't want to see him!" And she storms off to she doesn't even know where.
Suddenly she bumps into someone. "Woah there, are you oky?" The man held her as to stop her from falling. She sees the guy and he looks familiar. He seems to think that as well. His eyes flicker with recognition and then he smiles. "Hey you are Austin's mate, Dawn, right? I am Max." He holds out his hand for her to shake. He was with Austin when he beaten up that guy.
He must've saw her hesitation and he signed. "Look, I know you are afraid and freaked out by what you saw, but you have to give him a chance. I don't want to get into to much detail, but he is connected to the luna in a way I don't even understand myself. He felt Madeline get hurt. Just hear him out oky?" He rambles and runs away. Leaving her standing there in the middle of the hall.
She shakes her taughts away and go to the break room where she was bombarded with flowers and her mate standing in the middle. She wanted to turn around and walk away. "Dawn please." Something in his voice made her look at him. He was so nervous, that much she could see. "I know I scared you, alot, and I can explain, but I am not like that. I shouldn't have done what you saw. It's just...." He looked so pale and tired. She could see the bags under his eyes. "Please give me a chance. If you ever feel scared like that again you can leave me but please." She couldn't take it anymore with his puppy eyes. "One chance." He smiled and she knew she will never be scared of him again. He slowly stands up and walks to her. "Can I... Hug you?" It is so sweet that he asked permission. "You may." Instead of a normal hug that she was expecting, she was twirled in the air and then he held her so close to him, like she was something precious to him. "I promise to make you happy Dawn." She could detect no lie and she knew she had already fallen for him. How could she not?
