LOGAN HUNG the hall pass onto the now closed classroom door, sighing before heading down the hall to the cafeteria where everyone was. Lunch time. Logan liked lunch. He approached the doors and stood there for a moment but quickly realized he forgot his fucking backpack.

He groans, turning around only to stop when he saw Mike standing there. "Looking for this?" He held up the backpack and Logan walked over right away. "God, thank you, Mike," he reached out but Mike pulled it away from his reach.

"Why'd you leave class and never came back?" He asked and Logan shrugs. "I-I was sick... I was sick this whole weekend, not feeling well.." He says and Mike slowly nods, holding out the backpack but then Logan looks at him. "You know what? I-I don't wanna lie to you... Um, I was just... I had a shitty weekend, I don't know why, I guess because I like spending time with you and I-I know that sounds weird but it's the truth and I want to be honest with you." He says and Mike's whole face turned red.

"Oh... I-I like spending time with you too." He said and that urge was back again. Mike Wheeler and his stupid softness that came and went away, and his stupid cute smile. Logan hated it, hated feeling like this. "Uh... we better find the party in there or they'll think we ditched school or something." Logan gestured to the two cafeteria doors.

"What if we did?" Mike suddenly said, stepping closer and Logan looks at him. "Did what?" He asked right away and Mike smiles faintly. "Ditched, I mean..." He says, shrugging slightly and Logan thought about it for a moment but then ultimately started smiling, and he nodded his head.

And then it happened. Mike's hand slipped into Logan's and he started leading him down the hall towards the exit. Logan's heart started to beat fast. Maybe he was right about Mike. Not the way he thought but he might be right. Mike wasn't Jake and he was nothing like him.

The two ended up going to Logan's, Logan saying that his family was nearly never home and sometimes his dad worked all day. "Where exactly do you live?" Mike asked as they walk down the paved road. "Oh, you'll see. I think you'll like it, brat," Logan only calls Mike that as a joke now.

Mike shoves him, laughing and Logan shoved him right back which ended up with them starting to race, "right here!" Logan slowed down and started walking down the gravel road and turned to Mike. "Are you coming or not?" He asked but stopped when he saw Mike staring at his house.

"Hey," he walked over to him and Mike looked at him right away. "You don't know?" He whispers and Logan furrows his brows, glancing to his house then looked back at Mike again. "What, somebody get killed here?" He asked as a joke.

"The Byers family use to live here..." Mike says. Will... Will Byers. Logan sighed and grabbed Mike's hand like Mike did to him and lead him down the road. "Come on," he simply tells him.

Mike let himself get lead towards the house, still staring at it as memories filled his mind and without noticing, he had started crying. It wasn't until they were inside when Logan noticed. "Mike..." He says and Mike looked down. "She doesn't love me anymore." He sniffled and a tear dropped from his cheek. Logan sighed, shutting the door and locking it. He turned back to Mike.

He raised his hand, sort of hesitantly and Mike looked up at him. His thumb wiped away the tears and Mike stared at him, his lips parting slightly. He stepped forward but Logan got nervous. He didn't want another Jake situation so he just walked right by him, "d-do you want a drink?" He asked and Mike quickly reached up and wiped his other tears. "Yeah, sure..." He said and followed Logan.

In the kitchen, Logan took out two cans of New Coke which Mike just grimaced at. "We got juice too..." Logan shrugs and Mike nods. "Sure.." He sits down at the table and started looking around. It was completely different from when the Byers were living here and he took note of that.

Logan sat down, setting the glass of orange juice down. "Thanks.." Mike slowly raised the glass and took a sip out of it. "So... why did you move here?" He looked at Logan who smiles. "My dad's a cheating asshole and my mom's a cunt who made him his bitch, so really, who's winning now?" He shrugs and Mike raised his eyebrows.

"Woah... and they didn't divorce?" He asked and Logan sighs. "They'd rather cheat on each other all they want than ever separate." He says and Mike raised his eyebrows then glanced down the hall. "Which... which room is yours?" He says and Logan stood up, "follow me." He says.

Will's bedroom. Mike walked in and smiled to himself, glancing at Logan. "Do you like it?" He asked awkwardly, not knowing what to say. "Yeah... Yeah, I do... I liked how Will had it before, but this is cool too..." He says then sat down at the end of the double bed, surprised a teenage boy, a fourteen year old boy got to have one on his own.

Mike had a bunk bed, Will had a single bed, Dustin and Lucas both also had single beds. He didn't know about Max's, but El did say they slept on the same bed during a sleepover so he figured it was a double bed. Logan glanced around, biting his lip as Mike continued to look around the room.

"Where did you get the movie posters?" He asked as Logan came over and sat next to him. "Oh, from Lola, she use to work at the theatre back in New York and they let her take some..." He shrugs. "The Goonies..." Mike smiled and Logan smiled too. "I love that movie..." He says and Mike looks at him. "We should watch it." He suggested to Logan.

"Ghostbusters..." Mike whispered and Logan looked over at the poster on the wall on the side of the closet. "Yeah... I love that movie, Max said you dressed up as them for Halloween last year?" He said as he looked back at Mike who nodded. "Uh, we have Goonies on VHS... We can watch it if you want." Logan smiles faintly and Mike nods right away.

Logan went to go look for the movie and when he came back, Mike had gotten more comfortable and had taken off his shoes, laying on the bed. Logan didn't mind, he closed and locked the door before walking over to his tiny tv.

The two watched the movie, Mike even ended up leaning his head onto Logan's shoulder and at some point started to close his eyes. Logan didn't mind, in fact he liked having Mike's head on his shoulder, liked having Mike comfortable around him.
