LOGAN WALKED into the dog store with Fang on a leash. "Hey Chris," he sighed and let Fang off his leash. "Is the little pup here for a trim again?" Chris leaned over the counter with a smile down at the dog who sits down. It had been a week since Summer ended, a week since Dustin attempted to break his high score, a week since he last had a moment alone with Mike since El and Will had got here and they were always hanging out as a group and Logan would be busy with other things, not having time to be with Mike.

"No. I'm actually here for me." He said and Chris squinted his eyes, tilting his head to the side. "You don't look like a dog..." He said and Logan chuckles. "No. Not that, uh, I wanted to see if you guys were hiring. I need a summer job." He smiled and Chris nods. "Just for the summer? So I can go back to hitting on you after summer to appear professional?" He said and Logan chuckled.

"Come on, Chrissy, you know I'm taken. Sorry the Logan train has left the station and entered Mike's station." He smirked and Chris sighed. "That sounds so dirty... I love it." He said and Logan glanced down at Fang who was staring at a bag of dog treats. "Uh, anyway, hiring?" He looked up and Chris sighed, setting his chin onto his hand.

"Well, I mean, I can talk to Jeremiah, get in a good word for you, maybe he'll hire ya!" He smiled and Logan smiled back right away. "Great!" He beamed and Chris stared up at him. Logan stared right back, realizing how blue Chris' eyes were, "uh, anyway, uh... I better get Fang home. Give me a call about the job?" He asked and Chris nods right away, smiling at him and Logan looks at Fang.

"Let's go, bud."

In the car, Logan thought it over. And then sighed, shaking his head. No. No way. He arrived home and smiled seeing Mike sitting on the swing porch in front of his house, he had blue converse on, a pair of black shorts and a yellow shirt on. Logan raised his hand and waved at his boyfriend who waved back, smiling faintly.

Logan unattached Fang's leash and opened the passenger door as Mike walked over. "Hi! Hi! Hi baby!" Mike kneeled down to Fang who started licking all over his face. Logan looked at them, "he gets a hi and even a baby?" He says and Mike rollsd his eyes, standing up. "Come on! Come on." He gestured as he shut the car door.

Logan furrows his brows and got out of the car, crossing his arms. He followed his boyfriend inside who quickly greeted Elizabeth and sat down at the couch, Fang jumping up and laying down, resting his head onto Mike's lap. "So... you're not here for me?" Logan shut the door and hung up his leather jacket. Mike glanced up, his breath hitching once he saw Logan was wearing a muscle tank.

"No. Not really." He said but Logan can tell he meant otherwise so, instead he just crossed his arms. "Right... well, mom, I checked out the store and Chris told me he'll put in a good word with Jeremiah for me." He smiled and Elizabeth glanced up. "That's nice, honey, but you don't have to get a job." He said and Mike stood up right away.

"Chris?" He said and Logan looks at him. "The cute guy?" He exclaimed in disbelief and Logan furrows his brows. "I don't see the problem? We always talk about other guys we notice." He said and Mike scoffed loudly at that. "The problem with this one is he's also taken notice of you, the dude has a rainbow pin near his name tag." He says.

"Okay? And we're dating, so what's the deal?" He said and Mike huffs. "Nothing! I just find it complete bullshit that you wanna work there. You just wanna be around Chris more." The dark haired boy said as he crossed his arms. "Can we talk in private?" Logan asked as he glanced at his mom.

"Oh, no, go on, keep me in the middle of your lover's quarrel..." Elizabeth said and glanced from Mike to Logan. "Mike." Logan said and Elizabeth sighs as the two went to Logan's room. "I just find it funny we haven't got to spend time alone together lately and suddenly you want to—" "I want to what? Make money? I want to make money so I can afford things, for Fang and my family, Michael, and not to mention, the talk about my future with your dad scared the shit out of me. Can't you see? People like us don't get good jobs. How would we even be able to even... live?" Logan says.

"Logan... our future doesn't start until like two years, in 1989. And even then, we don't have to worry about that, we'll be okay..." He said as he sat onto the end of the bed and Logan sighed, sitting so his back was facing Mike. "I'm just... scared, that's all... Chris hides that he's gay at work and keeps his job. I can't do that when I wanna spend the rest of my life with you..." He said as he put his hand into Mike's, interlocking their fingers.

"I don't want to be your neighbour who you're friendly with, whose apartment you sneak into at nights... I don't wanna hide around, Mike..." He said and Mike sighed, putting his head back against Logan's. "Me neither..." He said softly and Logan closed his eyes. "I feel like things would just be so much easier in a world where... people were okay with it, I guess." He sighed.

"It will be like that one day, Logan... don't lose hope." Mike said and Logan pursed his lips together. "I just... don't want to hide. I don't want to hide the fact I love you, I don't want to hide the fact you're my boyfriend, and that title I'm proud of, as your boyfriend," he said and Mike sighed, slowly turning around, letting go of Logan's hand. "Logan..." He whispers and Logan kept his back to him so Mike frowned, looking down.

Instead, he just reached over and wrapped both arms around Logan. "Logan, I love you and I get that, I don't want to hide any of that either... it sucks we have to." He sighed and Logan turned around, now facing Mike who pulled back, keeping him at arms length. "I'm tired." He whispered and turned away from Mike, laying in bed.

"It's two in the afternoon." Mike said as he crawled over and laid beside him. "Okay... well, I'm tired. I couldn't sleep much last night, Fang had me worried too much..." He sighs and Mike wraps his arms around his waist tightly. "What's wrong with our baby?" He whispers to Logan.

Logan sighed, "he kept walking around the house, like he didn't wanna sleep. And when I held him in bed, he didn't sleep right away, so I'm just worried about the little baby..." He frowned and Mike kissed his cheek. "Just leave him be, you know how Fang is..." He reasoned and Logan sighed.
