"Whoa!" Steve wails.
"Where are we going?" Robin yells.
"Stop throwing me around like a goddamn bouncy castle!" I squeak.
Steve laughs from the rush and I laugh with him as Erica and Dustin drag us forward. "Just trust me."
We run along down a white hall before Dustin stops, and motions for us to be quiet. It seems Barbara and him are becoming friends since I am in no condition to hold her.
He opens the door ajar and pokes his head out it, looking around. "All clear."
Erica comes out, then Robin, then Steve and I as it looks like we're at the Starcourt Mall's...cinema?
"Y/n!"
I pause and look around. Steve also stops and Dustin pauses.
"Hey, boss!" I wave.
"Oh boy." I hear Erica mutter.
"Why haven't you been turning up at work?"
"Your job's shit anyway." I slur. "You never paid me, I wore a tight suit, all I got was training and men would flirt with me. I wasn't too happy about all of that."
"I told you, you would get high pay at the beginning of next year!"
"That's next year arsewhoile!"
He glares at me and Steve before Dustin runs up to us.
"I'm really sorry sir, these two are drunk. I need to get them out of here."
"And who may you be?" The manager asks.
"Uh..."
"We're a conjoined family!" Erica pips in with Robin. Steve laughs and I smile widely as Robin giggles.
He glares down at her. "The fuck are you staring at you old bastard? Let us go home, it's late."
"Fine." He snarls. "But Y/n's fired."
"YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!"
"Never thought someone would be so happy to get fired." Erica mumbles.
My boss angrily walks away as Dustin and Erica lead us to wherever we're going. To be honest, I was actually happy to get fired. Feeling uncomfortable in a workspace you wanted to love is not something anybody counts for. But I'll probably be sad about it when I come to my senses.
We head down a cinema near a red curtain and Steve sweeps up a bag full of popcorn that was in the trash.
"Gross dude." I snicker.
He giggles as we follow the rest of them into the cinema.
Dustin goes through the door as Back To The Future plays on the screen. My heart pounds. "I love back to the future!"
"SsSsSsShHhHhHhH!!"
"Come on." Dustin whispers. He runs to the left and down the stairs as we have no choice but to follow. Everyone watches in silence and Dustin curses under his breath. There are only two seats, not three.
"You two, sit." Dustin orders.
I hmmpff like a sad child and cross my arms as Steve and Robin steal the seats from me.
"No, no, no! Those seats are too close!" Steve whines as he sits down. "Dude, these seats blow!"
"Then let me have it." I huff. "NAH!"
