~17~ Run Away!

The Gate.

This is the thing that El had shut and now the Russians were opening it again. What was worse. Is that Finley is definitely the guy in that black shady outfit apart from everyone else who was in a lab coat. And for some reason, Barbara was very afraid of him as she started shaking as soon as she saw him in that room. That or the whole scene including the scientists breaking the gate.

It really bothers me. Finley knows about the gate? The Upside Down? For being an experiment in Hawkins, he's gonna be an experimenter himself and open the gate that put evil on this town?

Why? Why would he do that? He's changed so much...

"I don't understand, you've seen this before?" Robin asks as we walk back down the stairs.

"Not exactly." Steve says.

I have. I even saw El open it...just before I was shoved inside.

"Then what, exactly?" Robin questions.

"All you need to know is it's bad." Dustin quickly answers.

"It's really bad." I agree.

"Like, End-Of-The-Human-Race-As-We-Know-It kind of bad." Dustin continues as we speed walkout from the staircase.

"And you know about this how?" Robin snaps.

I open my mouth to say something but Erica pats my arm. "Uh, Steve? Y/n? Where's your Russian friend?"

Wot.

We look down at the floor and notice that the man is gone. And then. The room goes red. Blaring a loud red siren.

Shit!

Steve takes action and quickly moves. "Shit!"

We both run to the door to see the guy he knocked over yelling in Russian to another man. He peeks out the door in this state and I feel my blood run cold. The men see us and yell. "Halt! Halt!" Barbara howls, barking and growling. I have no choice but to push her head down in the bag and zip the whole thing up. She continues to howl and scream.

I quickly tug Steve's collar and bring him back in, slamming the door shut behind us.

"Shit."

A big gateway door opens, which is somewhere we can run. "Go, go, go, go, go!"

"Shit!" Dustin shrieks.

"Move, move! Let's go!"

The room we run into blares with red and blue, Dustin quickly opens a door as he slides across the floor and tugs it open.

We stop, as office chair wheels open up right to the place we were peering into. All of them see us. Including. Finley.

He shares the same look of shock as me, as if expecting me to never find him this way. My eyes widen and my heart pumps with fear.

"Y/n-"

"GO!" I scream to the others.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit!" Dustin shrieks again.

"Go, go, go!" Me and Steve yell in sync.

We run down the stairs past all of them but I see Finley grow angry. He doesn't want me down here but I'm a bad bish I don't care!

Dustin shrieks again and pushes past a guy in a red suit as all five of us run just to getaway. The other men yell in Russian as we run around the room. The loud beam blares our ears, breaking into the Gate.
