WRITER'S POV
Hafeez entered the house with his full gaze on his phone and bumped into someone
"Hamma Hafeez? Arwa questioned as her eyes grow wide.
"You didn't inform us you were coming back" She grinned leaning in to hug him.
He left to London a week ago and was supposed to be back a week later. But he got days off and decided to come home. Normally he won't be back just for some days but now he has a certain person he wishes to keep seeing.
"Yes, I had a few days off so I came back" he shrugged smiling
"Few days off" Arwa scoffed "Hamma when are you finally settling down in Nigeria?
"Soon Arwa, in the next few months. But still, you know I won't be staying put obviously" He laughed walking furthermore into the house
"Your wife has a lot on her table" Arwa shouted as he laughed again but was cut off by his father's yelling. He glanced over to his sister who has already left to the kitchen before running to his father's Chambers.
"Alhaji please" Hafeez's mother, Hajiya Umma cried out as his father stood on her shouting
"Please what? Hafeez is quitting that pilot work and joining me in the company" He bellowed and hafeez walked into the room
"Father" He called out calmly "I thought we talked about that" He took short strides into the room.
His father turned to him "I'm talking to you nicely about this. Join me and help me empower my company, what you will be getting there you won't have it as a pilot"
"Not everyone wants to be CEO in our 20s" Hafeez said through clenched teeth. "People get to choose what they want and I chose to be a pilot"
Hafeez gave his father a long look before squatting down to help his mother up and walked her to her room.
"I'm so sorry, Baba na" Hajiya Umma said when they walked into her room" She collected the tissue hafeez handed her and wiped her tears "I tried to talk him out of it but he wouldn't listen. Instead pounced on me and said it is my fault...as usual"
"It's okay Maa. He's always been like this since the company, stopped treating you or any of us better" He muttered with a hard look
"Don't say that Hafeez. He's your father" His mother replied placing her hand on his
"I don't know why he's blinded by money and thirst for success mother. He's so hell bent on achieving what others couldn't and in a short period of time without caring whom he hurt along the way" Hafeez spatted angrily and sighed when he realised how his mother was staring into space
"I'm going out mother, get some rest" He smiled at her tucking her inn
"But I thought you just came back" She said looking up to his eyes
"Yes. I won't stay long" He replied and she nodded. Kissing her forehead, he switched off the lights, on the air conditioner and left the room.
He knows the perfect place and person to go to.

HUMAIRA'S POV
"You guys really think he's angry at me? I shouted slumping on the bed
"Yes he is" Intisaar nodded
"Yes we are" Zahra said at the same time and I raised a brow
"Oh yeah she's not talking about us" She quickly added sitting down
"So why will you think that? I questioned turning to face Inti, Juju and Yusrah
"Isn't it obvious? He called three times in the past week and on the last call you clearly stated he has no work to do and he explained how he make time to talk to you because you are his friend before ending the call" Juwairiyya said in one breathe
"Oo..Kay? I questioned looking at her wryly as she nodded triumphantly
"So what do I do? I added sitting upright
"What you were supposed to do but didn't do" Zahra answered as I turned to look at her
"And what's that? I inquired
"Call or meet him" Yusrah replied
"He isn't back yet" I replied with a long face. I really feel bad for saying that and I didn't know he will take it to heart. Over the past weeks, hafeez has grown on me, he's now more of a close friend than a random person I met at a weddin. Yet the girls said I have spoilt everything. He stopped calling and even if I did, he doesn't pick.
"Well call him. One more time" Intisaar said and I nodded
"But guys, am I the only one jealous of hafeez. He's now her best friend" Zahra said
"Shut up Zahra" I replied sending her a glare
"No like seriously, she tells him everything now. He isn't even that handsome" She added as the girls heads snapped to her
"Shut up Zahra" They bellowed and I almost flinched
"Yeah whatever. Maybe I lied about his looks" She silently grumbled

"Maimai" Zahra called walking towards me
"Yes?
"Someone is here for you" She replied sitting next to me
"Who? I questioned as I reduced the volume of the television
"I don't know. The gateman told me so" She replied shrugging as I stood up grabbing my veil
"Are you sure it isn't Mami and Zainab that are back? Because I am not expecting anyone" I said and she shook her head before muttering "Go ask the gateman" with her attention fixed on the TV
I sent her a glare and took my phone then walked out.
"Mallam Ilya, who's it? I questioned as I walked over to him
"I don't know, but he once came here" He replied while I opened the gate
I closed the gate and turned to see hafeez leaning on his car
"You? I questioned with my eyes wide open
"Why? Aren't you happy to see me? He asked removing his shades as he pushed himself off his car
"No of course I am. I'm just confused. When did you get back? I adjusted my slipping veil and took another good look at him
"Hours back" He replied simply and I narrowed my eyes thinking why he will come here if he just got back hours back.
"I thought you were angry at me" I said in a whisper which he seemed to have heard
"I was for some seconds then forgot all about that. I decided to worry you a bit but got tangled up in other things" He grinned and I glared hard at him
"You!" I half screamed and huffed "Why would you do that?
He kept looking at me with an innocent smile and I felt the urge to smack him.
"I'm heading to the orphanage home there's this new site we built, I was hoping you could come with me" He said instead and I kept a straight face "The kids will love you. Think of it as an apology"
"Well I do love kids. You can come in and wait for me" I said and he smiled, locked his car and followed me inside
