I look around the compound from the faces of my family, my friends and my fiance. Everyone was here to support me, each and every one of them and I couldn't be more grateful. These are people that stood by me and were there through everything. Aunt Leemah, Hajja, my uncles, aunts, Aunt Safiyya, her married daughter and husband, Amina with her little family, Hafeez's friends, my friend's families, their fiances, my lecturers, my workers, family friends, everyone is here. Even Khadeejah is here too and kept bugging me that she was right all along. She kept saying she knew I wouldn't come back here unless I'm with a ring.
Oh well!
The plan was in procedure since yesterday. We were able to get Alhaji Sani's signature through Hafeez Father. Now everything, ranging from our house and company is back into our possession once again. Mama, Khadeejah's mother was very disturbed when she heard about what happened. She felt guilty over what happened and kept apologising to us profusely, even Khadeejah's siblings came over to apologise. But it wasn't their fault, you never know whom you're living with until circumstances exposed them.
Right now I'm dressed in a wine red long gown and heels with my turban sitting perfectly. I am to launch my products in our new factory and then head over to his. Hopefully, I'm arrive just in time for his launching.
Hafeez is talking with the police. They will follow me minutes later and arrest him for the murder or Abba. The thought of that alone makes me swallow a lump but I quickly strengthen up when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I look back to see Na'eemah smiling at me
"The guest have arrived, let's go" She said as I nodded walking over to my exquisitely looking friends who were standing next to my family and held Maami's hand.
"Let's do this" Juwairiyya shouted as we elegantly walk into the Hall
_______________________________________"Congratulations" A short aged man said coming to stand in front of me
"Thank you" I replied smiling politely
He gave me a curt nod and walked away while I stood there with my drink in my hand and my calculating gaze on the crowd. I was waiting for the right time to head over to my other property.
The thought of that alone brings a smirk onto my face
"Hello" My gaze snapped up to meet the eyes of a really muscular and tall man as he gazed down at me with a small mischievous smile.
"Hello" I said taking a step back to look at him properly
"Mr M.Yari, owner of Yaari investments" He said adjusting his stance
"Nice meeting you Mr Yaari" I replied as he nodded
"Nice meeting you too. I look forward to working with you"
I tried to hide my excitement and instead nodded with a cool face and smile. Just then, Na'eemah came to stand next to me.
I look over to her only to find her staring at him, his attention snapped to her as a small smile played on his lips, his eyes shining with knowing.
"And you're? He asked as she gulped slowly
"Na'eemah, her cousin"
"Nice meeting you" he said with a small smirk and his eyes darted back to me
The guy looks proud. Way proud for my liking
Just then I felt a presence next to me as I sighed comfortably. Now here's a guy I like
"Sorry for the interruption but I need to talk to my fiancee" Hafeez said emphasizing on the fiancee
"Sure. I was just about to go" Mr Yaari said locking his jaw. He gave me a tight smile and barely noticed Na'eemah before walking away
