I stared out at the window as I slowly sipped my tea thinking about everything and nothing. My mind was totally blank not even in knots, blank.

"Are you ready? Zahra asked cutting me off from my endless and pointless thought

"Yes" I said slightly nodding my head.

We are going back to Abuja today and although I will miss everyone here, they all made efforts for us to have fun and create memories together. Bonding with them was the best thing that has happened to me within these past months.

"Young ladies, be fast. The flight ain't waiting for you" Daadi said coming out of the kitchen with packaged food in her hands

"Chef Asee made you this. As a fair well gift" She said handing it over to us

"Awwwn, Jazakallahu Khairan" I said smiling as Zahra collected them

"Thank you very much" Zahra added placing them on the table.

"Everyone ready? Maami asked as she and Uncle Aliyu came into view.

"Ready" I said nodding my head and standing up

"I will miss you Daadi. So much" I whispered hugging her tight

"I will too Hun. I will too" She said returning the hug

"I'm always a call and a flight away. Whenever you need me, I'll be right here" She added

"You are the very best" I said stepping away from the hug

She sent me a smile and a wink before hugging Zahra.

After bidding Daadi goodbye, Maami, Uncle Aliyu, Zainab, Zahra and I made our way to the airport in a comfortable silence.

As soon as we arrived and are out of the car. I hugged Maami tight, and let out my heart. Crying at basically everything.

"Shhh it's okay. Everything will fall into place" She whispered stroking my head

I let out a sniff and took a step back. Zahra handed me a piece of tissue and I quickly dabbed at my eyes

"I will miss you all" I whispered as I hugged Zainab

"We will FaceTime everyday" She assured as I slightly hugged Uncle Aliyu while Zahra bhugged Mama

We took a step back, wave at them and finally turned dragging our trolleys behind us. Well Abuja, here I come. Please be nice!

After boarding in, I relaxed my head and closed my eyes. I didn't get the seat close to the window, so instead of looking out I simply closed my eyes. I'm not sure I'm ready to face Abuja after everything but well, life goes on. I know I'm fighting a silent battle but I'm sure I will get over it soon.

The best thing about going back is meeting the girls and knowing I'm staying with Zahra. I just hope those men never finds out.

I will try to live a simple life as much as possible, finish my exams and go back to Adamawa. I then will start planning my business. As for Hafeez, I'm planning to completely forget him. It wouldn't be easy but I will try. He didn't hesitate in loosing me, I wouldn't hesitate in letting go.

With that final thought, I let sleep overcome me for this 45minutes or so flight.

"I miss Yola" Zahra said looking out at the Streets of Abuja as the Uber driver takes us home

"I do too" I whispered absentmindedly

Through the corner of my eyes, I saw her glance over at me for a few minutes before fixing her gaze back on the streets as I carefully heaved a sigh.

Minutes later, we arrived. He calculated our bill and we paid before he zoomed off and we headed into the house. We entered with a Salam and the maid answered coming to collect our bags

"You're welcome" She said smiling as she took them upstairs

"Thank you" We replied just as the house wife came out

"Ahh, I see you guys are back" She said smiling cleaning her hands with a towel. Days back, Aunt leema called and told her I will be staying here for the mean time before I'm done with my exams and she was completely okay with girls in the house as they will help her with her cookings.

After greeting her and talking for a few minutes, we headed upstairs to change, bath and rest. When we walked into the room, Zahra headed to the bathroom first while I plopped down on the bed picking up my phone and going through Twitter. Minutes later, I was laughing and almost forgetting about everything until Khadeejah's call came in

"Hello Khadeejah" I said after picking up

"Humaira, I don't know how but my father knows you are back in Abuja"

"What! I sat upright "I just came back minutes ago"

"Yes, he knows that. Please be careful, he's adamant on getting his hands on that recipe no matter what. He found out you took it but couldn't follow you there. He doesn't want to raise any suspicion"

"Ohh okay" I said my voice flattening

"Are you there? She asked when I am quiet

"Yeah" I said in a whisper

"I don't mean to scare you but please just be careful"

"Okay"

"Goodbye. Take care"

I ended the call looking ahead before grabbing a pillow and stuffing my face. With a heave, I let out a scream into it. Punching and biting as my screams later turned into sobs and from subs to silent cries then to sleep.

Stirring, I slowly blinked, opening my eyes and stretching my arms

"I see you're awake" Zahra said looking up from her book

"Yeah" I said sitting upright and looking at the mirror. A lost girl looked back at me, with swollen face and scattered hair

"You need to stop being hard on yourself" She said as I sent her a look

"Easy for you to say. You aren't the one whose life is ruined"

"Humaira" Zahra shouted sending me a glare

"Sorry. I just don't know what to do, or how to feel or what to say" I replied pulling at my hair

"Hey, it's okay" Zahra said placing my head on her shoulder

" He's not here when I needed him the most. He just cut me off, with no goodbye or even "Go fry egg" I said with a dry laugh

"Maybe something happened"

"Nope. Nothing happened, he just changed his number" I replied looking at my hands

"Humaira......

"No it's okay really. Even if Alhaji Sani and Alhaji Salisu come for me, I will be totally fine" I replied

"They are coming for you? She asked shocked

"Yup. They even know I'm back to Abuja"

"Listen, everything will be fine. Pray and tell Allah everything" She said as I nodded

"I will,I definitely will. Although that will mean another round of tears" I said

"Well at least that will be worth it" She replied laughing.
