"Are they ready to be delivered? Maami asked coming into the production hall. I named the garage that recently
"Yes Maami. All done" I said wiping the sweat off my forehead.
For the past two days we have been working up and down trying to get the 200 drinks in stock and on time. I had to employ the services of three other women and together we were able to produce a 250 bottles of drinks and just finished loading them on the truck three hours before the event.
"Good then. Let's see the driver off"
I nodded and headed out with her to the truck where the last batch were loaded on. Daadi came out of the house speaking on the phone with someone I'm assuming to be Aunty Safiyya
"Yes they are already on their way. Yes you know Humaira take things seriously. Ohh I'll tell her that, we are grateful too. Okay then no problem. Yes we will arrive later in the day hopefully we receive good news. Thank you and goodbye"
She ended the call as her gaze dropped on the driver
"Can you please hurry and deliver them. They are all excited to see them"
"Yes ma'am" he said with a small bow and went into the truck, started the ignition and zoomed off
"And you. Let's get you all cleaned up and ready for the kamu" She said taking a hold of my hand
"Daadi, what if they don't like it? Oh my God I can't even face the embarrassment of doing something and hearing people criticise it in a bad way" I said cringing
"Ohh please. Your drinks are amazing Humaira and I'm not just saying that because I'm your Grandmother. I'm saying it from the deepest and truest part of my being" She said looking at me
"Okay then" I replied with a chuckle looking back at the women
"Go and take a bath. I'll dismiss them" Maami said as I offered her a thankful smile
I've already paid them. I guess what to do next is to give them some of the drink and see them out.
The drinks I really hope will not disappoint.

"So you're nervous? Juwairiyya asked as I put on my watch
"You have no idea" I replied sighing
"Of course she's bound to be nervous juju. Everybody will" Yusrah replied
"Just know that you did well and tried your best. Whoever thinks otherwise has a problem to deal with and that is their problem" Intisaar said aggressively
"Yes maimai, you're are doing well. Keep telling yourself that and you will see how everything will work out just fine" Zahra added as I smiled at them
"Thanks guys. It means a lot" I replied fixing my head tie. I got dressed into a Slim A shape red and silver Ankara gown which fits me perfectly.
"You look beautiful" Juwairiyya commented as the girl's nodded
"I think red and Silver should be the colour of your wedding gown" Zahra said as I shook my head
"So guys. Any plans? I asked raising a brow. I know the type of girls I keep around, they are just as ambitious. If our squad isn't goals, I don't know what is.
"Actually, I do" Yusrah said through the screen
"Really! What? Zahra excitedly asked beating me to it
"I want to start a shoe line business. I don't know how it will work out but I want to try" She said as we all shared grinning faces
"And I'm going for catering inshallah" Zahra chirped in
"While this girl has been eyeing fashion designing" Intisaar added
"And this one Interior designing" Juwairiyya finished off
"OH MY GOD" I Squealed "When were you all going to say that then if I hadn't ask?
"Well I was going to say mine today if we have another call at night" Yusrah said shrugging
"Oh my God! Zahra exclaimed "I can already imagine us walking as successful entrepreneurs nah scratch that, successful, majestical, elegant, rich,
"Humaira, we are leaving" Na'eemah said coming in and stopping the trails of Zahra's words
"Ohh hy Guys" Na'eemah greeted when she came into view
"Hy" They replied smiling at her
"How's our business holding up? Juwairiyya asked
"Well Alhamdulillah. And insha Allah today's too will be a success, they will love it" She said placing a hand on my shoulder
"Thank you" I replied smiling and looked back at my phone
"I'll be downstairs. Goodbye guys" She said and turned to leave
"Well guys I have to go" I said standing up and grabbing my clutch before bending down to put on my shoes
"Ohh Yusrah I can't wait for you to start this shoe line. Half of my money goes to shoes" I said to which Yusrah grinned devilishly
"That's a gain on me though" I added and watched her face turn to a glare when she understood what I meant
"Of course I can't be spending as much as I spend on shoes before if my friend owns a line. What are friendships for? I said sweetly
Yusrah let out a dry laugh "Yeah, blackmails for free stuffs!
I threw my head back and laughed
"Well goodbye guys. I will talk to you later" I said grabbing my phone
"Bye Maimai"
"Go kill it"
"Let's make those money"
"And walk in expensive heels"
The last one was definitely Yusrah. I thought to myself as i exited the call and left the room.

Thirty minutes later, we arrived at the venue. The view was breathtaking both the interior and exterior of the event centre. We walked to the front door where we met Aunt Safiyya and her friends
"You guys are here. Finally" She said leaning in to hug Maami, Daadi, Zainab, Na'eemah and I
"Ohh Humaira I loved your drinks. Even my friends did and one of them said she wants you to be supplying to her mini Mart" Aunt Safiyya said excitedly
"Really" I grinned almost jumping
"Really really. Those who tried it all loved it. Now we just wait and hope the groom's family does too"
"Come in, let's get you all seated" She added guiding us to the hall entrance
Well I just hope the groom's family likes it. After all, they are the important guest today and we wouldn't afford disappointing them.
To avoid those thoughts, I brought out my phone and dialled Hafeez's number
I needed my comfort zone _______________________________________
