I tugged my sweater tighter around me, seeing the temperature must've dropped again. It was almost pitch black outside except for the full moon illuminating a decent amount of light. While I was walking I had heard a strange noise from just behind me. A twig breaking maybe?
I looked over my shoulder, nothing was there. My heart began to race and my chest rose and fell rapidly as I quickened my walking pace. I was debating on wether turning back from the alley, but decided against it. Besides, it'll get me home faster.
There was another noise. Footsteps perhaps? I looked over my shoulder again. Nothing. Okay, this is getting strange. I turned to look back in front to watch where I was walking. My step came to a quick hault when a dark figure stood several feet away from me.
"Going somewhere, sweetheart?" Its dark-voice-with-a-different-accent spoke.
I stammered. I was at a loss of words. "I... I uhm."
I spun around on my heels and turned to run. My feet came to a new hault. Another darkened figure stood before me.
It had the same accent as the first figure. "No point in running now, love."
I was trapped. No where to run or hide. I clenched my chest. Was I hyperventilating? Probably.
The figures were closing in on me. I could barely make out their shapes in the darkened alley. The moons light showed me that the figures were two men. Two very tall men.
'Think, you idiot. Think!' I mentally yelled at myself. I looked back and forth between the scary men.
The one in front clicked his teeth. "See darling, this is what happens when you come down this alley."
"It's a shame. A chase would've been fun." The man behind me chuckled.
"Awww... She's speechless. How cute."
They had finally approached me and my mind went blank. Was I going to let them hurt me?
I did the first thing that came to my empty mind. I clenched my right fist and thrusted it into one of their faces.
He stumbled back a bit, surprised by my actions. "Ah, feisty. I like it." He held his hand up to his left cheek.
I had forgotten there was a second figure behind me, but soon remembered as he grabbed both my wrists and held them behind my back tightly. I opened my mouth and took a huge breath in to scream as loud as possible for help. A weird dark cloth and hand covered my mouth before I could let out my scream. "Shhhh.... No time for screaming. Just breathe it in."
I shook my head and a small muffled scream left my lips as I struggled from the tighter grip on my wrists. Soon I had the feeling of cold metal against my skin. I tried so hard to kick my legs in the air, they were being pulled back down. I lost my balance and fell to the ground on my stomach.
The cloth and hand were removed from my attempt to check gravity. I took the opportunity to scream. Which this time, I got one out. "HELP!!!!!! Someone please!!!!!"
"Shit." One of them mumbled.
I felt my legs being held down as my screaming continued. My mouth was covered too soon by the cloth and hand again. My legs became stuck together like they'd been glued. All my squirming around did was make me look like a dying worm. I've gotten no where.
My body had been pushed and I fell over onto my back. I was taken aback by the lack of oxygen. I needed air. My cheeks were burning. My squirming died down as I became lightheaded.
They noticed.
"Just breathe it in, babe."
"It won't kill you, love."
I couldn't help it anymore. I gasped for air. All it did was make me even more lightheaded than before. My eyes were becoming heavier and my breathing slowed down.
A pair of arms snaked under my legs and around my back before I blacked out.
