I was woken up by two things number one the sun shining through the windows of the room, number two the awful singing of my best friend.

"Oh My God Chloe shut the hell up! Are you trying to cause hearing problems for me!! I'm pretty sure you killed half of the birds in this town already!!" I shouted at her while she was jumping up and down ruining Story Of My Life by One Direction and killing the poor birds in the process.

"You're only saying that because you're jealous of my talent" she looking all proud of her so called 'talent'. Chloe Anderson was 5 foot 5 while I was 5 foot 7. She had long wavy black hair that reached just above her butt, her eyes were green while mine was dark brown but she always said she wanted my eye color I have no idea why. Let's just she has a model figure and she woke up flawless and her skin was naturally tanned. Her complexion is darker than mine.

I on the other hand I had dark brown hair that reached the middle of my back and I am a little paler than she is. I'm not saying that I'm not pretty and I'm not saying that I'm envious I just really love her green eyes and her, she is the best person to go to with your problems she always listen.

"What talent? The ability to wipe out the whole bird species with one note?"

"Whatever! Come on we better go downstairs before we don't get any thing to eat."

"Yeah come on I'm starving!"

I was currently at Chloe's house, we had a little sleepover last night.

"Wait, let me go to the bathroom first."

"Okay, I'll see if I can save something for you k?"

"Thanks." I gave her a small smile and watch as she exited her room.

I entered the bathroom and almost scared myself half to death. My hair was all over the place like someone shocked me with electricity in my sleep. As you can guess I am not morning person. I fixed my hair and brushed my teeth and made my way out of the room when I heard another door shut down the hall.

I looked down the hall and saw that it was Dylan McCall.... shirtless. Yeah sure he's my best friend but he's still a guy ain't he, plus I've kinda have a crush on him since like....forever. Dylan had light brown eyes, dark brown hair like mine but lighter and medium build, he has the right amount of muscles. No wonder why he's the school's heart throb.

"Dude seriously put a shirt on." I said as his head shot into my direction. Then I saw a smirk on his face. Oh no.

"Stop acting like you don't like what you see." he said now completely towering over me with that stupid smirk on his face. Did I mention he's like 6 feet tall.

I simply rolled my eyes and started walking downstairs.

"Not in the mood for you now Dylan...." I could hear him follow closely behind me. "This morning I was woken up by the sounds of a dying animal."

"Oh, so Chloe woke you up again." he say while we both walked into the kitchen.

"Yep."

"Hey stop criticizing me! I'm right here you know." I shook my head at my friend's childishness.

I know what you're thinking what are thinking how are they living together and they're not even related? Well Dylan's house is pretty big and Chloe's parents are really close to Dylan's so I guess they just moved into they're house like how it's so big.

Dylan's house is like a second home to me. Most of the time my mom worked and my dad died when I was 12, we were pretty close. I took it harder than anyone else. But I've come a long way from then.

"...are you even paying attention!" Chloe shouted taking me out of my train of thought.

"Sorry, what were you saying?"

She sighed.

"I said what are getting Dylan for his birthday?"

I furrowed my eyebrows and then realized that his birthday was next week Friday. Uh ohh! I totally forgot!

"And by that look on your face you forgot." she said.

"Forgot what?" I turned and saw Dylan coming in the kitchen with a shirt on. When did he leave?

"She forgot your birthday." Chloe said as I sent her a glare.

"So, no present." Dylan said while pouting.

"Isn't my love enough?" I said turning to face him.

"No."

"Ouch!" Chloe said.

"No worries I have a week." I said confidently.

Let's just hope I get something awesome, the only thing is I don't know what I'll get him would be good enough.
