When I die
I hope to leave with a fight
With a tear in a loved one's eye
They'll remember my battles to find the light
With my hands raised to the sky
I fought for a cause with all my might
I refused to give into another's lie
I used my darkness to see with blinding light
Trials, battles and sacrifice
Gave me the strength to survive
Life in Death's disguise
Blesses me with eternal life
I have lived and I have died
I have laughed and I have cried
I saw the stars of the night
When there wasn't a single star in sight
No man has been weaker than I
But no warrior is stronger than my heart's mind
And my heart has been my glistening knight
It continues to thrive and shine
Even when my purpose is done
My legacy will live until the end of time
The battle is over
Or maybe it has just begun
I have found closure
The war is won
