"Kikuchi-sensei!" a female voice called unto her.
Karin stopped walking to take a little step back to look at the pink-haired Chunin."Oh, Sakura," she smiled at her.
"Where are you going?"
"Just my daily stroll, why?" She had a weird feeling about Sakura's sudden appearance.
"Can I come with you?"
"Sure," she said without taking off her smile.
The two female ninjas began their walk.
"Sensei," Sakura spoke to the elder again.
"Hmm," she hummed.
"Are you Kakashi-sensei's girlfriend?"
Karin was caught off guard, she had caught her own saliva down her throat making her cough.
"Oh!" Sakura exclaimed, "I'm so sorry, sensei!"
The younger ninja began to rub her sensei's back to soothe her down. When she felt better, Karin glared at Sakura.
"I didn't mean to," she said, trying to save her life knowing the capabilities of her second sensei.
"No, you're fine. It's okay. I was just surprised," she assured her and started with the walk again.
"Why?" Sakura asked bravely and began to take a step to follow Katelyn.
"It was a first," she admitted. "You're the first person to ever ask me about those kinds of things"
"What about your friends?"
"I don't have any, Sakura."
Sakura quickly slapped her mouth after hearing her answer. 'You and your big mouth!'
Karin let out a chuckle before stopping and turning around to face her, "Sakura, you don't have to be cautious around me. I'm different in battle, in training, and outside work. I can be a friend."
"Oh," she said, "am I too obvious?" She asked sheepishly.
"Yes," Karin laughed.
Sakura was at awe, seeing the person who helps their sensei train them to laugh and up this close.
Sakura took the chance to scan her face. Deep, black eyes, 'Just like Sasuke's' she noted mentally. Pale skin, 'Just like Sasuke's' she noted mentally for the second time. Black, wavy, soft, silky, hair, 'Just like Sasuke's but her's has texture'
"Sasuke..." She spoke quietly but Karin heard her.
"Sasuke?"
"Huh?"
"Who is Sasuke?"
"Oh," she blinked her eyes, "I didn't notice I said it that loud."
"It's alright," Karin turned to start walking again but she noticed Sakura didn't follow. 'I knew something's not right.'
Sakura ran up to her, "Sensei, I need to go now."
"Sure." Sakura started running away from her after she's given her permission.
Karin's brows met, 'I will get to the bottom of this. I will be back sooner than we thought.'
Kakashi barged into the Hokage's office along with his students, Sakura and Naruto. Surprised with their action, Tsunade's expecting a great deal of news being her, the Hokage.
"What is it that you need to skip the knocking?" Tsunade raised her brow on the team.
"Sakura," Kakashi said, "has something to say."
Sakura looked straight into her mentor's eyes."Shisou," her gaze became intense, "I think Karin Kikuchi is related to Sasuke Uchiha."
Naruto's jaw dropped at Sakura's revelation. He looked at his sensei but was only greeted by a pair of strong gaze with his brows furrowed indicating Kakashi knew already and that this is something serious.
"Tsunade no baasan!" Naruto yelled. "This can't be. Sasuke isn't the last Uchiha?"
Tsunade decided to ignore Naruto and looked at Kakashi, "Kakashi, what did you get?"
"Were we in a mission the whole time and nobody told me?" Naruto once again chimed but ignored.
"She came back from the Sand and was an anbu."
"Anbu, huh?" Tsunade had her hand rubbing her chin, thinking, "we dug some of her information as I got curious with why you're so interested in her."
Kakashi's ears rang, he, all of a sudden got excited but still kept his composure.
"She was sent to the Sand by the Fourth Hokage a week before Shisui Uchiha died. The same year of the massacre," Tsunade continued.
"And your point, Hokage-sama?"
"She could be the half-sister of Shisui Uchiha."
"She is," Kakashi admitted.
"You knew?"
"She told me herself."
"Kakashi!" Tsunade yelled, "you know how serious this is. She could still have some kind of connection with Itachi."
Kakashi flinched remembering how close Itachi was to Shisui before the latter died.
"Go grab Karin Kikuchi for interrogation, I will send anbu on your way."
The trio, Kakashi, Naruto, and Sakura immediately set off.
Naruto still confused with what's happening, decided to ask Sakura while they jump from roof to roof.
"What is going on?"
"We just have to get Karin-sensei to the interrogation," Sakura said.
"No, there's something I didn't know!" He demanded.
"Naruto," her voice is stern, "just follow the damn order for now and help us get sensei if you want to see Sasuke!"
Naruto eyes became serious, his light blue eyes, darkened.
"I will," he said seriously, "but you will tell me everything after this mission."
"Naruto, Sakura," Kakashi spoke getting the attention of his students, "split!"
Sakura went to the west side of the village, she was scanning a whole area carefully before proceeding and transferring to next. She wanted to capture her, not to accuse her with something but to ask her if she knows Itachi's next move or if she had met Sasuke. She would do what it takes to take Sasuke back to the village. She's been clinging onto the little hope she has in seeing Sasuke all the while she was searching but instead of seeing a long, wavy, black hair, she was greeted by a man with the same features.
"Mangekyo," the person uttered and trapped Sakura Haruno in his eyes.
He carried the unconscious girl further down the forest, at the outskirts of Konoha and placed her there. She won't be awakened by anyone until he wishes for it to stop and he wishes to remove her from his jutsu when she is fighting for her life. Which is not for long.
