Gathering the chakra on her right arm, a hard blow landed on Shisui's stomach making him fly back to the tree and spat out blood.

"Karin," he said between his breath.

"Why didn't you tell me?!" tears started to escape her eyes, "Itachi is dead... ITACHI IS DEAD!"

Karin felt her legs weakened and dropped her legs to the ground, weeping over the friend he sees as a brother, Itachi.

During their younger days, she would follow Shisui and Itachi around. Feeling jealous of his brother's friend but felt warmer towards the latter afterward. She became close to them, watch them train and would copy what they're doing. Although both of the guys know her strength, they still wouldn't let her practice on her own as she might end up hurting herself. In the end, if Shisui is out on the mission and if Itachi is present, he would supervise Karin's training.

"Karin," Shisui wiped the blood off his chin and sat down across his sister, resting his hand on top of her head.

"How did it happen?"

"Tricking Sasuke, using up all his chakra."

"He died in the arms of his brother," Karin moved her head and looked at Shisui. 'I don't want you to die, onii-san.'

She wiped her tears and stood, "let's go."

Karin is determined to do anything and everything  to save Sasuke and her brother. Going to Sasuke and offering him help would cause conflict inside the Hidden Leaf but she won't let them think Shisui betrayed them for faking his death.

The Uchiha massacre, Shisui's eye, the Kikuchi assassination, Itachi's death.

She swears to herself, she will avenge everyone and kill that one man who caused them all this, Danzo.

"Karin..." Shisui said as he watched his sister's back.

They soon arrived at the scene, but it was too late, Danzo and Sasuke is off to kill each other. Their chakras drained and as soon as they use it all up, they die.

Danzo took the red-head girl as a hostage but Sasuke didn't budge, they learned that the girl has the same name as her, Karin.

"Uzumaki Karin," Shisui said.

"Nii-san!" she snapped Shisui from his thoughts when she sensed a familiar eye Danzo possessed.

"My sharingan," he said.

"I will get it, don't worry."

Sasuke fatally stabbed Danzo right through the other Karin, surprising them.

"Sasuke has come to this?" Shisui couldn't believe how Sasuke's has grown to become.

As Danzo attempted to escape, Karin squinted her eyes and activated her sharingan. She moved fast, casting genjutsu around the area, controlling Shisui's eye to do it and flickered to Danzo to grab her brother's sharingan placing them under the illusion Danzo still has it.

When she's back to Shisui's side, they flickered back to their place to redeem her brother.

Karin was outside, looking up the sky. She was happy, Danzo is dead, Shisui got his stolen eye back. But Itachi is dead and they don't know what to do with Sasuke. But for the meantime, as long as Shisui has his sharingan, she knows it will be alright.

"Imoto,"

She turned and saw Shisui smiling and without a patch on his left eye.

"Onii-san," her tears started flowing from joy. At long last, they've retrieved her brother's sharingan.

"Oi, oi," he stepped towards her, "what's with the tears?" he asked, wiping her tears away.

"I'm just happy for you."

"I wouldn't have gotten this back without your help."

"Now that the sharingan is here, take some rest and we'll test it out."

"Is this payback from all the training I made you do?"

Karin giggled as she nodded.

"Ah, nii-san."

"Hm?" Shisui cocked his head.

"Did you read the book I gave you?" she teased.
Shisui's face reddened from embrrassment and tried avoiding his sister's gaze.

"Oh, you did."

"I did not!" his face becomes hotter and redder at Karin's teasing.

"Onii-san, I gave you those books as a joke," she said,  "I didn't know you're a closet pervert!" she gasped jokingly.

"Oh, dang it! Wait till I get my revenge on you!"

"What are you going to do?" she grinned.

"Oh, I don't know. Just wait and see!"

Karin laughed, it's been a while since she's been carefree and bond with his brother. They've been preoccupied with the revenge over the past years that they haven't hung out much and have fun.

"Say, nii-san," Karin went closer to her brother and grab his shoulders, "let's go out and have fun!"

Shisui smiled, "it's been a while, huh?"

She nodded.

"After dinner, we'll go out and enjoy. It's a celebration."

"Finally he's dead!" Karin stretched and let out a scream.

"What's the scream for?"

"Every frustration I kept over the years of wanting to kill Danzo, now he's dead, I'm free from that bastard's prison."

Shisui's face softens, "I'm sorry."

She shakes her head, "no," she snickers, "it wasn't your fault. I wanted to do this for my only living family."

"Thank you, Karin."
