Chapter 20

Vrunda met Nitya's new friends and they played a little game of truth and dare where she revealed she hadn't had her first kiss yet which surprised Aaron. Later, she had a sleepover at Nitya's place where she had a little break down while reminiscing her past.

After two tubs of Mississippi Mud from Baskin Robins and several packets of candies later, I calmed down. I had finally stopped crying and now it was my turn to interrogate Nitya.

"Okay I am done crying now! Tell me everything about you and Hardin. NOW!" I yelled, wiping the tears off my cheek.

"There's nothing to tell V. We're just friends. I just happen to have more in common with him than anyone else. I don't know why are you making a big deal out of this." She said whilst blushing.

"Sureeeeeeeeeeeeeee! If that's how you want to be. Fine. I won't pester you anymore." I pouted, faking annoyance.

"Urghh. Don't do that. Okay fine, I might have a tiny crush on Hardin but it's just been a week since we have got to known each other. I don't want to rush into anything. Plus, I don't think it's right for me to start dating someone so soon. Btw, I think you should talk more with Aaron. He is really nice and I bet he can distract you from your problems for a while." She suggested completely changing the topic.

I got the hint that she desperately wanted to avoid talking about Hardin so I started asking more questions about Aaron.

"Umm.. I will have to agree with you. He seemed pretty hilarious. I'll talk to him if he texts me. I ain't making the first move." I informed her.

"Just wait. He will. Also, how did you not recognise Aarush? He used to be in our school till 3rd grade." She asked.

I tried to picture Aarush's face and tried remembering all my classmates from 3rd grade. Well, I couldn't. Heck I couldn't even recall what Nitya looked like back then. How the hell am I supposed to remember someone I didn't even know? Sigh. Nitya can be stupid sometimes.

"Errrr.. I don't know. I don't think I still can remember him though." I replied scratching the back of my head.

"But he remembers you." She said wiggling her eyebrows.

"I am not even going to acknowledge what you just did. Enough chit chat about guys, let's watch some movies now." I barked.

Ignoring my attitude she happily turned her TV on and we started watching "The Powerpuff Girls."

I don't remember when did we fall asleep but when I opened my eyes, it was 11 am. I rubbed my eyes and rushed to Nitya's washroom to do my business. After taking my sweet time to get ready, I woke Nitya up.

It was around 2 pm now and we were lazily laying on Nitya's couch waiting for her mother to serve us lunch. After lunch, we planned on going to Aaron's house since my mother had to go out and we were bored. Also, because

Maybe.

Just a little.

Only a teeny bit.

I wanted to see Aaron.
