She sighed and put out her cigarette as she starred up at the large court building. She wasn't prepared for this, but now was as good a time as any, she guessed. She had to go in through the back way; paparazzi were everywhere, though she had no idea why. It was her business, not theirs.
The door creaked loudly when she opened it, and her heels clicked against the hard floor. She was glad for the empty hallway considering all the noise she was making. She sat in the waiting room and doodled in her small notebook until a middle-aged man came out and tole her the judge was ready. Everyone in the crowded room stared at her when she entered and she could hear murmurs all around. Lizzie took a seat beside her lawyer at the front and tried to calm her nerve before she had a panic attack. All of a sudden, there were excited screams outside and cameras flashed at whatever it was. The door opened and she looked back with wide eyes as the real Thomas Sangster entered the room. She immediately looked away. Great. He was here to judge her about being such a perv and obsessing over him. She was embarrassed and could feel the panic start to rise. Luckily, the judge came out and everyone looked away from her and Thomas.

She ran, as fast as she could in heels, outside into the fresh air. She felt the panic consume her and her thoughts went crazy, everywhere. She tried to get a cigarette out, but her hands were shaking too much. She couldn't breath, couldn't think, her pulse was racing fast; too fast. She could hear someone behind her and felt strong arms wrap around her.
"Shhh, calm down. Breath. Just focus on your breathing. In and out, in and out." She didn't know who it was but she listened to his instructions and focused on her breathing.
After a few minutes, she had calmed down and could breath normally. She finally looked at who it was that saved her and jumped out of his arms. Thomas. She started panicking again-
"No! Calm down, love. Keep breathing. Here," He handed her a cigarette and lit it for her. The smooth nicotine calmed her senses and she processed what was happening.
"You okay now?" She nodded slowly. "Good. I'm Thomas, the real one, don't worry."
"I'm Lizzie," She shook his outstretched hand. He took a deep breath and looked her in the eyes, "Look, I'm really sorry about what happened to you. I can't believe something like that happened because of me."
"It wasn't your fault, I was the one who was stupid enough to believe someone like you would actually talk to and care about me ." Once she realized what she had just said, she regretted it. "I'm sorry, I wasn't looking for attention or anything, I was just- Just forget about it. I'm sorry for bothering you and making you come here." She turned and walked towards the train station but she was stopped by him gently grabbing her wrist.
"Don't leave, just listen to me. You aren't troubling me, I chose to come here. Lizzie, this isn't, in any way, your fault. There's no way you could've stopped it. Do you want to take a walk?"
"I have to get to the train station, mines leaving."
"Right," He said as he remembered that that vile man had stolen Lizzie's car, but he pushed the anger down. "Let me take you to dinner and take you home. Please?"
She thought it over for a minute, the pros and cons.
"Only if we get milkshakes."
