For the longest time now
For the longest time
I have been meaning
To pay you a visit. It's not that easy, you see
To be a strong rock always
Like you and your people hold me as
I am grateful.
But I have moments of weaknesses too.
When I need to meet you
And sit with you
In solitude
Our breaths filling up the cosmos. Why aren't you letting me, Krishna?
College assignments, physical fatigue
Sometimes you yourself close your doors from afar
Why do you
Tease me so?
You take me back home
To gardens, flowers, calves and butter
Afar, from this choking city. You think
Your visage
Will break me into fragments?
Your charming efflorescence
Will reduce me to
Tears of reminiscence?
I've endured worse, Krishna.
When will you know me completely?Perhaps never.
Which man has ever completely understood a woman?Save the sweet nothings
And your physical caresses
For the night when I dream. But when the sun hangs in the sky,
At least let me visit
your clay lookalikes?
