Uraraka stopped at each corner to check if there was anything waiting for them, and bakugou usually kept his distance. She had a feeling he wasn't happy with her. Still, she smiled smugly knowing that she could so easily get under his skin.

She stopped dead in the middle of a hallway when she heard something. A skitter, a scratch, something like that. Bakugou stopped directly behind her, slightly nudging her to keep walking. The smell of caramel suddenly overwhelmed her senses.
"Katsuki?"
"What?"
She turned around and looked up at him. Beads of sweat trickled down the sides of his face, and his skin almost looked slick to the touch.
"Why are you sweating so much?"
He looked down at himself, seeming to just notice it then.
"I-"
"Are you nervous?"
He looked appalled. Horrified and offended. He poked a finger into her chest.
"The fuck makes you think-"
"Shh"

His eyes widened and he gripped the front of her costume.
"I will fucking throw your useless body out the goddamn window-"
"Katsuki, shh"
His palms heated up and his arms began to shake. But she heard it again. That scratching. She tapped her ear, and he listened too. The skittering started up again.
She slowly and quietly walked over to the door, pressing her ear to the wall.
"There's something in here"
She whispered, and tapped the wall with her finger. Whatever was inside the wall began to run.
"Katsuki!"
She yelled, and he began running.
"Already on it!"
He sprinted a few metres and punched a hole in the wall that made her flinch, but his hand came out holding something. A mechanical rat, with a pack strapped to its back. It's small mouth opened and replayed a small message with the same voice they heard before.
"Well, looks like our littles heroes have found their first survival pack. Better eat it quick, before something else starts to click..."
the rat stopped squirming and died, any noises that came out of it before had stopped. Bakugou ripped the pack from the rat and dropped its body, and opened the box. Small cubes were inside, along side a bottle of water.
"What are they?"

Uraraka asked, coming closer. He held up one and looked at it closely.
"It's astronaut food. Whole meals packed into tiny cubes. It's enough to keep someone alive with nothing else to eat"
She frowned.
"So this is serous. Someone is playing a game with us."
He clenched his jaw and closed the pack.
"We should save it. You carry it, I'll scout ahead"
Before he could turn and walk she caught his arm and made him stop.
"I- I don't think it's a good idea to split up"
He narrowed his eyes slightly.
"Fine. Come on,"
He said, and she kept pace beside him. A while passed, and they seemed to be going in circles. They decided to settle themselves in a classroom and wait it out, only going out when they absolutely needed to. Bakugou melted the lock on the door to seal it while uraraka moved all of the desks out of the way. She set the outter parts of her suit on one side of the classroom, leaving herself in her skintight suit and sat down on the floor with a sigh.

Bakugou sat down beside her and stripped the unnecessary parts of his suit too. Setting them down neatly beside her gear he knocked his head against the wall.
"We're fucked, aren't we?"
He said, and she turned her head toward him.
"Huh?"
"Some bastard decides to fuck us when our backs are turned. It proves we weren't ready for the attack. None of us were prepared. None"
She looked down at her outstretched legs and tried to think of something. Bakugou's ego was easily wounded by the right situations.
"Katsuki, none of us were prepared because we shouldn't have been. We were in exams, there's no reason to feel bad about it"
"Bad? Feel bad?"
Oh, no. She thought, and readied herself for a verbal abusing. But when he spoke his voice was surprisingly quiet.
"Heroes are always ready for everything. They're surprised, I guess, but ready. I let my guard down, more than once..."
his hand tightened on his knee and his knuckles turned white.

She cast a worrying glance over to him before getting up and searching through a cupboard on the other side of the room. As she suspected, this was a first year class and found was she was looking for. She closed the cupboard and tossed a hacky sack at him. He caught it in his fist and looked up.
"Is this some kind of joke?"
Even though it wasn't she giggled.
"Come on, we've got to do something for fun"
He scowled and stood up, tossing the hacky sack in the air and catching it.
"I think I'd rather be in here with damn deku than you"
He through the sack at her, and to his surprise, she caught it.
"No you wouldn't"
She said innocently, and threw it back at him.
