Amanda

Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Mmm." Stretching my limbs, slowly I open my eyes.

Checking my phone for the time, 04:55, "I guess it's never too early to start your day." With a smile, I make the bed.

Finishing, I moonwalk Into the bathroom

'I'ma break you off, let me be your motivation

To stay and give it tonight

And, baby, turn around, let me give you innovation, hey

Cause I do it so right'

Opening the door, fully dressed and ready to tackle anything that may come my way, I walk down the stairs.

"Morning mommy," I say kissing her cheek.

"You look awfully happy this morning, and you are early." Taking a mug out the cupboard I make myself a cup of coffee.

"What can I say? It's a good day today," Sipping my coffee, I think about my date with Austin this weekend.

Where are we going? What should I wear?

"Uhm, who are you and where's my daughter?"

I roll my eyes, "Mom, you being dramatic."

"And you humming a tune, you never hum a tune in the mornings."

Again, I roll my eyes, "Mom, I'm leaving now." Placing the mug in the sink, I kiss her cheek.

"Bye, mommy, see you later."

'You got that good good, baby, don't you?

Got that good good, baby, don't you?

But you leavin' solo

Ain't that regular, that ain't regular

I ain't gon' keep, keep fightin' for it

Ain't gon' keep, keep fightin' for it

I reach my bus stop with 5 minutes to spare, "Morning guys, it's a lovely day today isn't it?" I say but they all look at me ridiculously, as if I'm crazy.

Not minding them I continue with my tune.

On-time the bus arrives, letting everyone get in and I enter last.

"You know today you look-"

"Not today Betty, not today. Today is not about you so shut your mouth, Okay?" Smiling, I move to take a seat.

Getting off the bus, I deeply breathe in and out.

Let's do this.

Walking down the corridor I felt like a model who is modeling a new piece and students around me have suddenly turned into the paparazzi. Hair flowing, flash here, flash there. I was the it thing!

"Hey, guys."

"Hey, what's up with you? You look too happy this morning." Mae says.

"Yeah, there's a beat to her step." Mike adds.

"I think it has something to do with Austin." Lucy adds on as well.

"Yeah, I saw them together yesterday during lunch." Natalie adds as well.
