Amanda
I just got back from grams house, the day before schools reopen, I know it was probably not the best idea when I thought I could come back the day before but it was so much fun I couldn't leave earlier. Now I'm just scrambling around trying to prepare for tomorrow.
I'm ironing, setting my bag, organizing my books according to my stationary list, I'm doing a lot.
I flop on the bed facing the ceiling, that was a lot. "Get an early rest. Tomorrow is your first back to school as a senior." Mom says from the door before moving onto Mickey room.
Senior year.
1 step closer to finish with school.

Dammit! I'm late!
I'm currently running down the street in hopes that I don't miss the bus. I'm internally crying right now, this is so unfair! Why do I have to sweat on my first day as a senior.
Luckily, I reach the bus but of course, I'm the last one to enter, nothing new about that. Once in I stop by the doorstep panting and trying to catch my breath. I stand up straighter and see that Betty is standing in front of me, with her hands folded.
Oh no, I don't have time for this.
"Betty-"
Her hand is suddenly on my face, is this her way of saying keep quiet? "Don't say anything. I want to say something."
Okay...
"Well then can you please remove your hand off my face?" It is too early for physical contact and especially on the first day.
She removes her hand. "Sorry. About that. Sorry about everything else as well. I'm sorry for being rude, bratty and a bitch to you last year. I guess I always jealousy of you so I tried to bring you down, and I'm sorry."
What the!?!?
I'm literally shocked right now! I'm pretty sure my mouth is hanging open.
"What!?" Is what I manage to get out.
"Yeah. I'm sorry." She is tapping her feet, hitting her nails and is fidgety.
Is she freaking nervous right now?
I pull myself together. "Uhm, yeah. I forgive you." All of a sudden she draws her hand out.
"This handshake will symbolise as a truce. Now let's shake on it."
"Im happy to shake on it." I say, shaking her hand. "I love the accent by the way."
"Thank you! I've been practicing for a while now." She says smiling. I don't think I've ever seen her smile and I must say, smiling brightens up her face.
"You should smile more." I say before moving to find a seat for me and Judith.

Its lunch break now, I'm peacefully eating my lunch but that is until someone is approaching me, again.
"Hey Amanda," Simon says. "So how are things between you and Austin."
Again, "We good." I'm stabbing my fries and I never stab my fries because I love my fries!
"Where is he?" Go away!!
I sigh, "Right now he is at his house and I'm here and I'd love to eat my food in peace."
"That means go away, Simon. Shu." Mike says, making the go away gesture with his hand.
"I'm tired of people coming over just to talk about Austin without greeting the rest of us, we are not tombstones, we humans."
"Yep, I'm tired as well." They all agree in sync. Hello! I'm tired too guys!
"Is everything okay, Amanda?"
"Yes! Everything is okay, now I'd like to eat in peace." I snap. I don't mean to but I'm just tired of all these questions about Austin.
"Hey, no need to snap. We were just asking and making sure that you okay. I mean with everyone asking about him I'd be snappy too."
"Can we please stop talking about this?" I ask in the nicest way possible.
"No,-" I'm saved by the bell.
"You lucky that bell went off." Mike says, a finger pointed at me.
"Yeah, whatever."
The day goes by smoothly with no one asking me about Austin again, thankfully. I'm now at home in my bedroom dreading the conversation that I'm about to hold with my boyfriend or if I could still say that.
I dial his number, it rings 5 times before he finally picks up. "Hello." He says out of breath. I can hear slight movement in the background but I'm not sure from out.
"Hey, could we meet tomorrow? We need to talk." I'm anxiously tapping my fingers.
"Yeah, I'll call you with the details."
"Oka- hello? Austin?" He hanged up on me. Jackass, you lucky I love you.
I sigh. I guess I'm going to bed then. Night my imaginary people.
Shut up and sleep and night.
