Amanda

It's lunch break now and I'm walking to my locker to place my books away and collect the rest of the books for the following classes before going to lunch.

I've just closed my locker when my phone buzzes. Hastily, I take it out hoping it to be Austin.

Daddy:

Would you pick your brother? Your mother and I are going on a date😉

I sigh. If anything mom and dad are the same. They tell you something and then they add what they'll be really up to.

Daddy's lovebug🐞:

Yeah, sure, daddy. Just bring me the food.

Honestly, I was a tad bit disappointed, I thought it was Austin. He and I had talked about meeting up and he'll call me about it.

Talked? More like chat. You guys haven't seen each other since the previous year.

Whatever. He's been busy and I've been busy.

Before I was so rudely interrupted I was going to add that it has been 2 days since that conversation.

"Bitch! What took you so long? Austin isn't around anymore so what has been holding you up?" Mike nothing but shouts.

I guess you can say since Austin left things have been a drag for me and Austin being effy with me isn't helping.

"I was switching out my books by my locker, but of course you'd know about that if you didn't skip your classes."

"Ohh! Someone's saucy today!" Lucy says, passing some of her fries over to me. You see, these are one of the reasons why I love this girl.

We pass useless conversation around not really caring about anything. I check my phone again for the millionth times and still nothing.

"Hey, what's wrong? You've been checking your phone since you got here? Are expecting a message from someone important?" Mae whispers so the conversation stays between us and that the others don't hear.

I sigh, "I...am expecting a message from Austin. He told me he'll text me but it has been two days now." I whisper back to her.

"Are there issues between the two of you?"

"There isn't! I don't know! Its just something happened between us a few months back and since then he has been acting weird and now that he's gone for school he has been, uh, I don't know!" I place my hands in my hair, frustrated with everything going on.

"Hey," she places her on my shoulder. "Everything is going to be fine."

I close my eyes, breath in deeply and let her words wrap around my head. I stare at her, "Thanks." I say with nothing but sincerity in my voice. I guess someone telling you that everything is going to be okay is all that you need.

"Mikey, do your homework before going to bed or I'll be having your head. Mom and dad will be back later than usual, so do your homework and get to bed." I say, climbing up the stairs.

Okay, maybe I hyperbole it there when I said I'll have his head but I'm just trying to scare the kid just a little bit. Who am I kidding I wanted to scare him big time.

Entering my room I get straight into doing my homework, maybe that can distract me and maybe delay what I have been meaning to do.

I finish my math homework and grab another book, softly singing a song just hoping the process can drag or quickly finish. I still don't know which yet.

You see my thick thighs

Lost when you look into my brown eyes

See, my little waist can make you switch sides

You never know the devil in disguise

So why don't you stand up, baby, and

Tell me, tell me, tell me do you want me on top?

I reach back into my bad for another book but my hand comes in contact with nothing but air. My head snaps in the direction of my bag, where are the rest of my books?

You see there is no books, so you done with your homework.

I guess I can no longer delay this.

Spicy:

Hey.

Hot stuff:

Hi.

Spicy:

How you doing? It's been long.

Hot stuff:

I'm good. Yeah, it has been.

No how I'm doing?

Spicy:

You said you'd call so we could talk. Its been two days now.

Hot stuff:

Oh yeah. I've been busy that it kind of slipped my mind.

Oh wow.

Spicy:

I think we should just be friends.

Hot stuff:

That's what I wanted to say. Thanks for understanding.

Spicy:

You did?

Hot stuff:

Yeah! Enjoy senior year.

The End.
