Casey was ecstatic as he rushed out of Jace's hospital room to find a nurse. Jace finally woke up! Casey made a mental note to contact Kelly and let her know that Jace is awake, and walked towards the nurse reception table.
One of the nurse's at the reception, Lana, glanced up as Casey approached her. "Is there anything I can help you with, sir?" She asked him.
Casey was still smiling like an idiot as he answered Lana. "Jace Li, in room 167 has woken up." He said.
Lana sifted through the charts of the patients that were in that section of the hospital and reached for Jace's chart. She grabbed his chart and walked out from behind the nurse receptionist desk. Casey and Lana walked into Jace's hospital room, Casey rushing over to his, still, confused boyfriend.
Lana stood at the end of Jace's hospital bed, flipping through his chart. "Hi, Jace. Do you know where you are and what you're doing here?" She asked, earning a small 'no' from the blonde haired boy.
Jace looked at Casey and grabbed his hand, nervous about what the nurse was going to say.
"You've been in a coma for 4 weeks after sustaining a fall," she started, "From the tests that we were able to do, there are no signs of internal bleeding. I'd like to order some more tests, if that's alright with you?"
Jace nodded. "Yeah, that's fine.. uhm, my mum? Did anyone call her?.."
"I did," Casey replied, squeezing his boyfriend's hand reassuringly. "She's on her way up with Finn and Alex."
Jace smiled slightly. "Okay.."
The nurse took some blood work from Jace and made sure that his vitals were okay. She left the room, leaving the two boyfriends alone. Jace sat in silence, still trying to wrap his head around the fact that he was in a coma for four weeks. It didn't feel like four weeks, it felt like he was just sleeping.
"Jace?" Casey said, looking at the blonde haired boy. Jace breathed out a 'ya' in response. "What was it like.. to be in a coma?"
Jace took a minute to think, he had a hard time remembering. "I.. I don't know.. I heard you talking to me I think.. You kept apologizing."
Casey sighed. "I thought it was my fault that you were in a coma.. I scared you and you fell. I blamed myself."
Jace frowned. "It's not your fault, Casey."
"I know, but I thought I was going to lose you, babe. I couldn't stand the thought of that."
