Casey was as guilty as ever.

He didn't mean to call him a fag, it just slipped out.

Casey hadn't tried to talk to Jace at all. He didn't know what he was supposed to say, so he had started hanging out with his punk friends again. He couldn't tell them about how bad he felt; he was there leader, and he couldn't show weakness. There were only 4 boys, including himself, in his group. There was Alex, Jake, Owen and Casey.

The bad boys.

That's what Casey was. A bad boy, the one your parents tell you to stay away from. Jace had known that Casey was a bad boy, right? Casey smoked and drank, he beat up anyone that got in his way.

Honestly, Casey's outbreak at Jace was inevitable. It was only a matter of time before Casey snapped. Jace knew that, but he didn't want to believe it.

Jace ran as fast as he could. He needed to get away from Casey.

How could he call him that?

Doesn't Casey remember what happened to Jace? What that man called him. What that man did to him.

That man

His own father.

More tears streamed down Jace's face as he ran. He needed to see Finn. They had become close friends, and right now Jace needed a shoulder to cry on.

Jace practically fell into Finn's arms, sobbing. Finn held the sobbing boy, listening as he told him what had happened with Casey. Of course, Finn had already heard what happened since news travels fast in high school, but he wanted to hear what happened from Jace's perspective.

"You were going to tell him you loved him?" Finn asked after Jace had calmed down.

Jace nodded grimly, frowning. "I.. I do love him. A lot, actually.. but he doesn't like me back. He thinks I'm.. I'm a fag.."

"Well, he's stupid for not liking you, Jace," Finn said. "You're an amazing guy, and anyone should be lucky to have you."

"You sound like my mum.." Jace laughed slightly.

Finn laughed. "I try." He joked.

Jace smiled a bit at Finn. He was going to be okay.

At least for now.

It had been a week since the two best friends had the fight.

Neither of them had talked to each other, but maybe that was for the best? They didn't think so.

Jace missed him. As stupid as that sounded, he missed his best friend. Jace wanted to forgive him, but he was so angry at Casey. They were best friends though, so Jace thought that it would be logical for him to forgive Casey.

Currently, Jace and Finn were standing at in front of the clubs board. The two wanted to make a club, and were looking at the qualifications.

"Maybe we could start a makeup club," Finn suggested. "You're really good at makeup. Maybe you could give them tips and teach them and stuff."

Jace smiled. "That would be fun! Let's do it."

Finn smiled, then frowned as he looked down the hallway.

"What's wrong?" Jace asked, looking at what Finn was looking at. Jace immediately wished that he didn't. Casey was walking towards them.

"Jace.." Casey said, looking down at him.

"Fuck off, Casey." Jace said. He was still mad.

"Can you still tutor me?" Casey asked, completely ignoring what Jace said.

"Find someone else to do it." Finn stepped in.

Casey shot a glare at Finn. "I wasn't asking you, Finn." Casey snapped.

Jace crossed his arms, standing up on his tippy toes. "I didn't think that you'd be okay with a fag helping you, Casey." Jace hissed.

"I didn't mean it, Jace. I'm so-"

"Save it, Casey!" Jace snapped. "How could you call me that?! You know that he said that to me! I told you what he did to me! Does that not matter to you!?"

"Jace-"

"Fuck you," Jace snapped, grabbing Finn's hand. Jace dragged Finn down the hallway, leaving Casey standing there.
