"Oh shit." Lilith spoke, and despite her panic, decided she was now in 1945 and really did need to address her bad language habit.
"Where could he have gone? To Sanya's?" The redhead asked them quickly, realising that their two houses were literally the only places she knew."I don't think so." Lucy replied, still sniffling. "Even if he is as reckless as Sanya usually is, he loves and respects her too much to go to her house, disregarding her words."
"It isn't too much to hope he's gone home?" Susan asked and Peter sighed.
"Only one way to find out. Come along, Lilith, I'll introduce you to my Mother, I don't reckon Dad's home yet."
'Erg.', was Lilith's singular thought.
Meeting parents. Erg.
She couldn't help but wish for but for them to be back in Narnia. Sanya and Edmund would be back to normal- and as would the rest of them. There'd be no parents to confuse the situation- she'd only just escaped her own parents! Wait- what was she to be introduced as?
Suddenly, she felt more nervous than she ever had around the siblings as they entered a place she thought she'd never find herself- The Pevensie household.
"Hello, mum." Peter said and Helen Pevensie rose up from the sofa and hugged her eldest son, "Hallo, Peter, how was school?"
"Oh it was fine, I got Lucy and Edmund back with me-" He spoke, hoping his mother would reply back with information of his younger brother's whereabouts.
"Oh, Edmund, yes. Is something the matter with him? He stormed through the door and crashed up the stairs- I wouldn't be surprised if he's broken your bedroom door!"
"Oh, he, he-" Peter hated being caught in situations like this.
"He had a fight with Sanya." Susan answered, shaking her head internally at her brother's idiocy.
"Oh." Helen looked put out. "That's too bad, the two are wonderful together, wait-" Her eyes narrowed at the redhead next to Peter. "Who are you?"
"Oh, I'm Peter's friend." Lilith answered just as Peter said, "My girlfriend."
The Pevensie mum's rather worried expression was replaced by a delighted one. "That's wonderful! Susan, Lucy, the boys are beating you in the relationship category!"
Lucy blushed while Susan wanted to half throttle her mother and half run away.
"I'm Lilith." Lilith said, sure no one could surprise her on adding to that fact.
"Helen. How did you two meet?"
"At university." Peter answered at once. "She studies-"
"Literature." Lilith ended. "I study literature. And I must be going, I'm afraid."
She didn't know where it came from, but she couldn't stomach being in this house, with a picture perfect, (mostly) happy family any longer. "I have a train to catch."
"Of course, but you absolutely must come to have tea with us someday." Helen smiled, clasping her hand. "Perhaps Sanya could come too."
"That's not likely." Susan muttered but Lilith only smiled at her politely, before walking away to the door and then running out.
The room full of Pevensies watched her leave, slightly surprised by her abrupt exit, especially to the three who knew the train story to be utter rubbish- but they let her go.
"I'll take cases up." Peter announced, looking to Edmund and Lucy's bags at the bottom of the stairs before making his way over to do so."And I can help you unpack, Lucy." Susan told her little sister, half dragging her after Peter as they made their was upstairs.
They made a second-long stop at the girl's room before gathering hesitantly outside Peter and Edmund's door, pleasantly surprised that it was still intact.
"Ed?" Peter spoke carefully, knocking on the door, despite it being also his room.
