"I've never been one to hate people,
Even when they appear to hate me.
I've always respected those people,
And I always shall.
It just means they think i am better them.
And by respecting their opinions on me, I guess I am."—————————————————————————————————————————————
(Fully edited)Confidence. She knew no one liked the new girl if they were full of them self, though that was what she wanted. Kindness. Something she always aspired to to be when with others, thought she didn't want the attachment that came with having friends nor the drama that came with boys.
She looked around the hall ways scoping out the groups. She was walking down the corridor. Late. It was break meaning she was almost three hours late so the halls were filled with her future class mates. The nerds, the goths, the cheerleaders, the jocks, all staring at her alike.
She had cut her skirt to a little above mid thigh, she placed a few select stitches in her shirt and blazer to make them even more fitted to accentuate her curves. Long black socks that reach just above her knees making her legs long for days. Her hair styled as waves with the top section pulled into a messy bun and to finish off the look her dark black shades and her silver and black bracelet, one she never took off.
The guys were looking her up and down. Lust in their eyes. While the girls looked her up and down scrutinising her every jealousy in theirs.
She started taking long steps to try and get to the principals office quicker, though from the gawking around her, told her it looked like something other then what it was meant to. That was until she saw angry glares. Her brother. Thought she was going to avoid him. You see this school wasn't just a normal school, it didn't work like a normal school, it was a private school - one for the most rich, snobby people there are world wide, one were the more money you had the more popular you were.
'Yeah' she thought to no one In particular 'my brother is the most popular guy in this school along with his best friend Striker.' Continuing this conversation in her head remembering that technically she should be with them, if It wasn't that she didn't want anyone to treat her differently because of the amount of money she had, 'no,' she reviewed her statement, correcting herself as though she had been explaining this to someone externally, "the amount of money my dad has." She made him keep quite about her joining him at this school, she had been so convincing that not even striker, his best friend, knew, not like he knew I existed either.
And why's that. Her mind countered as she rolled her eyes.
Her brother didn't refrain from going full protective mode on her, regardless of they had agreed, even though saying she forced him into backing up her points would be a more accurate account.Arriving at the office she knocked in a rhythmic pattern.
"Come in!" The gruff voice sounded through the door. The principal clearly had meant it as a yell but the solid oak wood of the door muffled it to a just audible grumble.
She walked through the door her black loafers hitting the floor as her fingers dropped from her bracelet and across her chest, trying to make it as though this, or any other encounter, wouldn't phase her.
Successful in her plan she gave a lopsided grin, though resting upon her lips as a smirk. An expression of surprise cleared his face of any trace of a smile as confidence flashed through his eyes.
"Alexandrine?" He questioned unable to believe what was in front of his eyes.
"Alexandrine Kingston?" He added after a short debate with himself pondering if she was truly related to her brother, before coming to the conclusion that it was absolutely unmistakable. Even though his hair was more of a sandy brown that stood out on his lightly tanned complexion they were practically identical."That's my name." She replied, her eyes still covered with her shades. Making her entire face completely unreadable. Before her lips came back to rest in there natural plump position.
Her lips then twitched adding "don't look so surprised." A statement she made upon noticing that although he had hidden all traces of surprise from his face, his eyes still gave away all he was feeling. Nothing got past her.Subtly he looked her up and down realising the changes she had made. He was not impressed. However he didn't say anything and tried to stop any emotion other then indifference from his face and handed her her schedule, already understanding she wasn't someone he could control in anyway, and so just decided to keep quiet. Something he hadn't done or even thought to do for anyone. Ever. Not even her brother... or his friend.
He couldn't quite put his finger on what it was. What made her different. But it was something and even being the principal he was going to take a step back with this one.
