Conversations with those you love,
Make the day worth living,
and you life worth remembering.—————————————————————————————————————————————
Her father sat at the island table, set in the middle of their modern kitchen.
"Morning, sweetheart." Her father said as he lifted his eyes from his newspaper, he had up to his eyes.
"Morning, dad." Alexandrine said back smiling at her father. "How was work." She added more out of courtesy then interest.
"I'll tell you this, I hire idiots..." she said chuckling at the end, giving his daughter his full attention.
"Sup guys." James said as he walked into the room too fast for the morning.
Ughhh morning people
"Morning son." Their father said adverting his eyes giving his attention to James now.
"Morning dad." He replied with this happiness only he could have this early, as he made his way towards his sister. "And good morning to you, princess." He beams with a proud glint in his eyes as he kisses the side of her forehead.
"Morning jay jay!" She replies with as much enthusiasm as she could muster, as she returned his smile as best as she could.
I'm surrounded by aliens. How can they be so happy. She thought as she rolled her eyes.
The two men chuckle at her effort, her fathers eyes crinkling ever so slightly on his young face, he was only thirty five, having James at just fifteen, and his morning hair un styled, natural sandy mess. James looking practically identical with his hair the same but lazily lying limp on his forehead, longer then his fathers.
"How was school." The men asked in unison.
She gave them a look, speaking her words, before replying.
"Stupid, pointless and dumb. Like it should be a sin to have to get up this early." She ranted as went over to the island table and flopped down on a stool for dramatic affect.
As she said that protective mode kicked in.
"Did anyone give you any trouble?"
"Did anyone hurt you?"
"I knew I shouldn't have left you alone!"
"Do I need to go down to that school? because I will. And I'll——"
James and her father start alternating between themselves slowly getting more and more angry, until she cut them off.
"No, no. Nothing like that!" She started serious to make herself clear.
"Calm down guys!" She finished giggling at their protectiveness, and the fact that both of them were known as heartless scary beasts.
***********
A phone flashed, signalling a text. James flipped his phone over, causing the motion sensors to light up the screen, showing of the text, but he focused more on the time.
"Shit, it's eight-oh-three."
"Don't fucking swear in this house, James!"
"Too late for that, we're gonna be late. I have to pick up Striker first!"
"Then you better get your ass out of my house!"
"Want a lift sis." James directed at his sister, knowing she wouldn't take her own, in fear of people realising she is rich.
By now everyone at school had heard about her, all saying she must be a scholarship student, and that she didn't belong in 'their world', but James agreed with this fact, not for the reason you would think, but because he knew his sister, he knew she didn't belong on earth, she belonged in heaven, amongst the angles.
She was alway to precious for this word. He thought
"No thanks, I fancy walking today. I'll see you there." She said whilst innocently sending him a sweet smile. He knew she really just didn't want to be in a car with stricker, or to let anyone find out, especially him, who she really was.
"Ok look after yourself. And if you need me call me."
"Bye jay jay."
"Bye Alex.... and don't be late" He she shouted over his shoulder as he walked out of the front door.

What do you think of the family dynamic. This chapter was mainly focused on who the people are as people, behind what others say about them and who they have to be for reputations sake.
Please comment saying how I'm doing since in new at writing. I feel like this is going quite slow but I'm not sure. I just wanted everyone to know who each of the characters are, cause I know if it gets going to fast int confusing. So tell me what you want and I'll see what I can do. Thank you for reading. (Even tho no one reads this bit,but imma type anyways)
