Never assume peoples motives,
It's the easies way of misjudging people.

"Look, there is a pairs assignment people were supposed to do for English." He said almost looking sincere though she thought she knew better then that.

"Why ask me, I won't be one of your girls that fall all over you and do the project by myself." Alexandrine retorted back rolling her eyes, as her voice level rises.

Anger began to rise within his chest as he thought over anything that could make her this way towards him. Not finding any logical explanation he released his fury, ignoring an ache that seemed to rest within his heart. "Don't act like you know anything about me. Hell we haven't even fuckin spoken." This was true they hadn't, this not making a difference, this not changing this mind, his thoughts still whirling before resting in an uncomfortable way front and centre, it must have been his fault, it always was.

Looking into her eyes careful to retract any previous emotion from the breach he states as nonchalant as his vocals would allow "I was the last one in the class without a partner, and as you're new and didn't know about the project, you don't have one."

She opened her mouth, an apology on the tip of her tongue.

'What am I thinking, I don't apologise to anyone.' She was confused with how naturally she had let her her fight go upon hearing one excuse.

"I'll see you at your place five pm tonight." She said knowing she could never invite him to hers, it was a wonder to her how only something so simple as a school project could be the reason her entire plan could fall through.

"The library I'll see you there." He said almost to suddenly to be casual, though she didn't pay it any mind; how could she, she didn't know, and even if she had to opportunity she probably wouldn't want to. He was Striker, the reason so many girls had gone home crying, scared to go into school - as he so colourful boasted about, him and James alike. She was sickened at the thought. The idea that her sweet, kind brother was capable of disrespecting a woman after everything he had seen her go through, after being by her side throughout everything.

'Like father like son.' She thought mindlessly to herself before snapping back to reality realising Striker had gone, leaving her the moment the words had left his mouth.

Lost within her mind she subconsciously twirled the soft ends of her ponytail around her fingers - - passing the silky strands from her thumb to her index then back again.

Noah awaiting around the corner of the building no path leading to there as he hid uncomfortably shifting from one foot to the other in the shadows, his face instantly relaxing in a bright smiley sort of way as their eyes connected.

"What did Mr. Scary want with you?" Noah said, which instantly brought Alexandrine to silent hysterics when she saw his serious expression. Her reaction confusing him as his face gave way to this uncertain expression, unaware what had made her laugh at him. This only making her double over in her mirth.

Finally suppressing the urge to allow her amusement to show in front of what seemed to be the entire world she managed to let out a slightly breathless "'Mr scary.'" In a mimicking tone, trying her best to imitate him.

"Yes Mr. I'm going to kill you with my eyes, what did he want?" He said changing the nickname. Alexandrine held her breath in order to contain whatever noice she would make next as she through her arm around his broad shoulders, having to get close to him in order to stretch her arm that far.

Not quite able to get the bemusement out of her tone she she stated simply in a voice she made go as slow as it could to make it as illegible as she could possibly make it "just a project I wasn't even aware existed." As she held her stomach in a way that she hoped didn't make it so obvious it hurt from all her laughter while they made their way back into the school for their next lesson, not seeing Striker for the rest of the day.
