"So Alicia, is it true that you were dumped by Mike Chang because you weren't Asian enough? And now he's reportedly dating Tina Cohen-Chang, how does that make you feel?" Part of Alicia had thought this year would start somewhat differently. She'd foolishly hoped that the New Directions had maybe earned even a shred of respect or dignity at McKinley. But no, there she was with a microphone shoved in her face as Jacob Ben Israel stared intensely at her boobs and taunted her about her love life.

"Ugh! Go away!" She sighed, letting out her frustration witha good slam of her locker door before storming away.

So maybe JBI was right. Maybe, Mike had in fact dumped Alicia because his Mom didn't think she was "Asian enough", whatever that means. And maybe he'd gotten together with Tina not even a week after the break up at Asian summer camp. But she wasn't too cut up about it anyway since they mainly only dated because Mike was on the football team and Alicia was on the Cheerios so by the McKinley laws of social mixing, it was kind of expected. Plus, Changwin somehow never caught on as a couple name, and they were definitely better as friends.

But anyway, Alicia saw this a was whole new year and a completely fresh start. It was time to forget about all of that and just look forward.

She made her way back to the good old Choir Room for the first time this year, and after saying hello to everyone, took a seat next to Quinn. All of a sudden, the bell rang out and Mr Schue entered the room with a piece of paper in hand.

"Glee is a giant ball of suck." He said, with a frown on his face, as he began reeling off all of the hate comments that had been received. Somehow, nothing had changed and everyone hated the Glee Club just as much as they did last year. Scratch that, they probably hated them even more now.

"We get it, Mr. Shue. Everyone still hates us. So what? So we're plankton on the high school food chain? Only difference now is that none of us really care." Kurt shrugged, looking around him as the other members all nodded and hummed in agreement. As sad as it was, they were pretty much used to being bottom of the pyramid now so it barely affected them.

Mercedes echoed Kurt's sentiment, speaking up. "Kurt's right. We're a family. They can bring it all they want. None of it is going to break us."

Mr Schue sighed. "Okay, I'm really happy that you guys have all bonded. The problem is that all of this negative stuff is keeping other students from auditioning." And he was right, the sign up sheets were completely empty even though they'd been up for ages. It seemed like no one wanted to join a club of pick and mix losers who danced around in matching outfits singing Journey.

"Good. Why do we need new members?" Tina said bluntly, causing everyone to turn to her.

"Well, since Matt transferred, we've lost a voice, and if we want to go to Nationals, if we want to beat Vocal Adrenaline, we have to go from a small rebel force to a giant wall of sound." Mr Schue replied enthusiastically, as he clearly tried to inspire his pupils. Alicia couldn't help but think the New Directions were no where near as good as Vocal Adrenaline, and adding a few new members wasn't going to magically change that. Unless those members were, like, Beyoncé and Rihanna or something, in which case she'd be perfectly happy with taking in new additions.

"Yeah, Mr Schuester's right, you guys." Rachel began suddenly and walked to stand by Mr Schue at the front, earning a few eye rolls through the room - total teachers pet. "You didn't see Vocal Adrenaline at Regionals. They were epic. We're going to need more voices in order to beat them."

"Yeah. I'm with Rachel on this one." Finn nodded as he joined Rachel at the front of the room.

"Gross." Brittany muttered from the back row.
