Christopher Cross? Seriously? Which self respecting teen wants to sing songs about sailing boats, or whatever Mr Schue is suggesting?

The Glee Club were currently trying to convince him to turn this week into Britney week. Alicia, for one, had dutifully signed Kurt's Facebook campaign and could think of nothing better than the whole Glee Club getting their Britney on. But Mr Schue didn't seem as enthusiastic and, apparently, neither did Brittany. So much for majority rules.

"Well, there you have it, guys. It's been decided. No Britney. Sorry." Mr Schue said with a smug smirk on his face.

"Thanks, Britt. Thanks a lot." Kurt snapped sassily to the blonde next to him, only making her sad face even sadder.

"Leave Brittany alone." Santana told him sharply, as she rubbed Brittany's shoulder affectionately.

"Thank you for understanding. It's been a hard road."

"Um, can we move on?" Rachel quickly interjected, desperate to get started on the assignment, no matter what the theme was.

"Yes. Let's talk about Michael Bolton."

Well, this was going to be a long week.

"Buenos días señorita." A voice said suddenly from beside Alicia's locker, startling her completely. She closed the door to see one Sam Evans standing next to her, with a grin on his face. He was wearing a Letterman jacket, and Alicia couldn't stop thinking that he looked really great in it. "It means good day, lady in Spanish." He said, clearly ever so proud of himself.

"I know, Sam. I take Spanish." She replied with a small giggle. Even though she thought he was absolutely adorable, she was still upset that he hadn't shown up for his Glee club audition. Turning away from her locker and the blonde haired boy, she began walking towards the Choir Room only to find him catching up to walk beside her.

"Look, so I'm still kind of new here and I have no idea where my biology class is. Would you mind showing me-" Unable to hold back her frustration, she cut him off.

"Why didn't you show up to the Glee audition, Sam?" Turning to face him, she watched his face drop as a look of confusion took over.

"What...how do you know? Did someone...wait are you in Glee Club?"

"Yes. I'm in Glee Club. Is it that hard to believe? You probably don't want to be seen next to me now you know I'm such a loser."

"No, Alicia, stop. Look, I'm sorry. You gotta understand, I'm the new kid. I'm already on the outside looking in, the last thing I need is to get a slushee in the face because I sometimes like to sing. I just...I couldn't do it. I'm sorry." As he spoke, his eyes remained glued to the floor, presumably out of guilt. As disappointing as it was to hear, Alicia completely understood what he was saying and it was exactly how she felt when she first joined Glee Club. Especially for Sam, it was hard enough being the new guy, god knows what Azimio and Karofsky would say if he joined Glee Club.

"I get it, Sam. I really do. But those jocks, they're not your friends. And soon enough, you're gonna want to find a place where you feel at home. Not just something that makes you seem cool." She took a deep breath and looked him straight in the eyes. It was weird. She had no idea why she felt so disappointed in him, considering she barely knew him. All she knew was she just felt so let down by him.

Unable to think of anything more to say to each other, the two stood for a moment in a strange silence, with Sam profusely avoiding eye contact and wearing a guilty expression.

"Biology is just down that hallway, by the way." She added, answering his earlier question before giving him one last sad smile and walking away, leaving him on his own in the middle of the hallway with a thoughtful look on his face.
