"Hello Interweb, Jacob Ben Israel reporting for duty! Today I'm joined by McKinley's best Linebacker, and maybe the best looking dude I've ever seen in my life, Leo Clark. What are your plans for after you graduate?" Jacob Ben Israel inquired, placing the microphone for the boy to speak."Well, I'm meeting with a recruiter in a few weeks for the Ohio State Buckeyes, the best college football team in the state. They'll offer me a scholarship at the Ohio State University, and in a few years I'm sure you'll be seeing me playing in the NFL." He shrugged confidently, before running a hand through his dark red quiff and looking into the camera lens with a dazzling smile.
"Wow, you're so awesome." After staring up in awe at the tall, muscular boy for a second too long, Jacob Ben Israel quickly shook himself off and continued the interview. "Moving on, what do you say to reports that your girlfriend over here still has a thing for her ex Hobo McBeaver aka Sam Evans?"
Alicia's eyes widened and she shared an awkward glance with Leo, who simply rolled his eyes and pulled her closer to him. "Not that I even know who that guy is, and not that I even care. But Alicia and I are very happy, and she only has eyes for me. Right, baby?"
"Yeah, of course." She nodded quickly, and slightly unconvincingly, giving Jacob Ben Israel everything he needed for his interview. He walked off quickly, looking back to Leo with a few more longing stares as he ventured down the hallway to find another unfortunate soul to interview.
"I can't wait till that goes up so everyone can see how awesome I am, and how smoking hot my girlfriend is." Leo smirked, a hand still firmly clamped on Alicia's waist. He reached down to press a quick kiss against her lips before fixing his hair (for maybe the fiftieth time that morning) and detaching himself from his girlfriend. "Anyway, baby, I gotta go do some football stuff, you know how it is. I'll see you later, yeah?"
"Okay, have a good day." Alicia smiled sweetly, but he was already gone before she could finish her sentence. She leaned back against the locker with a sigh.
If she was honest, Alicia had never felt more out of place at McKinley. Not only was the Glee Club's status lower than ever thanks to their embarrassing Nationals defeat, but she'd also lost two of her best friends.
After her crazy Junior year, the Nationals defeat was just enough to send Quinn over the edge completely. She hadn't picked up a single call or returned any messages from Alicia over the summer, and word was going around that she'd got a Ryan Seacrest tattoo and joined the Skanks. It hurt, but if it was what Quinn really wanted, Alicia didn't want to stand in her way.
Sam, too, was nowhere to be seen. After Nationals, the pair were excited to spend every second of summer together before going back to McKinley for Junior year. But that was very much derailed when Sam dropped the bombshell that his family were moving to Kentucky and broke things off, leaving Alicia heartbroken and feeling like their relationship was over before it had even began.
She stood up straight and brushed off the feelings of sadness and loneliness- she was back on the Cheerios and she had the rest of the Glee Club to keep her company. Plus, Mercedes had set her up with Leo who played on the football with her boyfriend. He was kind of an arrogant meathead sometimes, but he was mostly an alright person and he was unbelievably hot. So she figured things could probably be worse for her.
Rounding the corner of the hallway, she was stopped in her tracks when she heard the spiteful laughs of the hockey team and felt an ice cold substance hit her face and drip down onto her freshly washed Cheerios uniform. "Loser!"
Ah yes, things definitely could get worse.

Taking Mr Schue's purple piano project to heart, the New Directions performed a rendition of We Got The Beat in the cafeteria. It was all going so well, with Alicia even managing to get a smile out of Leo by dancing on the table in her Cheerios mini skirt. But that all stopped when Becky Jackson decided to demonstrate her distaste and initiated a food fight of epic proportions.
