Once we broke the kiss, me and Sasuke looked into each others' eyes with a smile on our faces. We hated fights even though we always fixed our problems. Suddenly Sasuke kissed my forehead, catching me by surprise.
"I love you. And thank you for defending me." He muttered with his lips close to mine.
"I'll always have your back, Sasuke. I love you." I said, helping him up after. He was still a bit hurt because of Gaara's attack so he stayed with his arm around my shoulder.
"Let me go! I already told you I don't want to fight! Naruto yelled which made us all look at him and Neji with confused expressions. "Just listen to me, damn it!"
"Why is Neji being so stubborn?" I let out a sigh, holding Sasuke tightly.
"I don't care what you have to say!" Neji yelled back, still grabbing Naruto's collar.
"Let go of me already!" Was all Naruto said before pulling the Hyuga guy away which made him lose his balance. He was about to fall on the hard ground but Hinata showed up behind him, catching him.
"I've got you, Naruto!" She spoke loudly to him, ending up sat on the floor with him due to the fall. We stayed all quite until the sound of something breaking caught our attention. Me, Sasuke and Hinata were all shocked because what had just broken was... His necklace. The only memory he had from his father. "Naruto!" Hinata called him although it didn't seem to work.
"No... No..." Naruto kept repeating with a hurtful expression on his face.
Sasuke's POVSeeing Naruto like this made me remember when we were kids and I went to his house to spend the afternoon and have dinner. It was on that day that his father gave him this necklace because it carried their family's history and has been passed down for generations. From what Minato explained back then it all started with his grandfather and on that time he decided to pass it to Naruto and I could tell how proud he was for doing so. Minato knew that he was going to take good care of it and later on pass it to his own son. But now it was gone. The only memory he had from his dad was completely broken and I couldn't help but to feel bad for my best friend. He didn't deserve any of this.
When I looked at him I could see that he was crying, probably because he had the same flashback as me. Shit, this wasn't going to end well.
"Neji, what have you done?!" Hinata yelled at her cousin with tears running down her face. I took a look at Neji and could see the panic on his face. Was he scared of Naruto now?
"Neji! In front of you!" Lee yelled at his friend but it was too late. Naruto got to the Hyuga pushing him to the ground with full force catching him by surprise. Neji groaned with pain as his back met the floor and on the next second, Naruto is on top of him with one hand around his neck and another forming a fist.
"You want to do this the hard way, bastard?" Naruto said to him with anger and sadness on his eyes. "You're going to wish you'd never been born!" And with this he punched Neji's face, letting go all of his anger.
"Neji!" Lee called his name again. "If Naruto keeps hitting him like this..." He added as we observed Naruto throwing more punches. Neji's face was already full of blood and I could tell that his nose was broken.
"Naruto, stop! You'll kill him at that rate!" It was my turn to yell at my best friend. He had completely lost it but no one would dare to stop him. Not even me. Everyone was looking at them with shock and concern but Hinata was the one who looked worse. She was crying so much and I hoped that was enough to make him stop. But I was wrong.
"Here's the final blow!" Naruto exclaimed, preparing to punch Neji's face again. "This one is for my father!" As he was about to hit him, a hand hold his wrist firmly, stopping his action.
