Chapter 20

Sasuke's POV

Me and Naruto got off of the car, walking in the direction of the three guys that were waiting for us. I couldn't see who was the third guy because he had his face covered thanks to his hood but I couldn't care less. We were going to kick their asses.

"Well, I'm here." Naruto spoke first. "What do you want, Neji?" He crossed his arms in front of his chest and I put my hands on my pockets.

"Where's Hinata? She's in the car, isn't she?" Neji said, completely ignoring Naruto. "I just want her to come with me so stand down or I will force you, Uzumaki!" He tried to sound intimidating as he walked to us and was about to pass by Naruto but he quickly stopped the Hyuga.

"Stop, Neji! Your problem is with me, leave her out of this!" He was very serious and I had never seen him like this before. Maybe he finally realized his feelings for Hinata. "Listen, I don't want to fight and I know you hate me for what happened to our parents..." Naruto made a small stop before talking again. "But you're mistaken." I was looking at both of them until the mysterious guy appeared in front of me. He was facing me with a devil smile which made me keep my serious expression.

"Now you want to lecture me? Look, I don't care about what you say..." " Neji laughed. "Although is so typical of the Uzumaki to run away from their responsibilities that isn't going to work on me!" His voice was full of anger again. He then punched Naruto on the stomach but before I was able to do or say anything, a scream was heard.

"No! Naruto!" Hinata was yelling and I looked behind me, seeing her with tears on her face as Sakura hold her arms, stopping her steps.

"Hinata, wait! They told us to stay in the car!" My cherry blossom said with a concerned look on her face and then our eyes met. I got a little distracted but a voice interrupted me.

"You should watch what's in front of you!" The guy said as he threw a punch at me. I manage to avoid it, wondering how fast he was although I was faster. And with this I gave him a kick on his face making him fly a few meters.

"You won't beat me like that, you bastard!" I riposted with a smirk on my face.

"Interesting movement..." He started to say while cleaning the blood on the corner of his his mouth. "You have good precision and impressive force... And that's something that only hatred can accomplish..." He looked at me. "You're just like me." I had to admit that he was a total freak. His words made no sense to me.

"What are you talking about, asshole?" Was all I said, avoiding to sound confused.

"The look in your eyes demonstrates your hatred and bloodlust..." He spoke again and I could see that he had spiky red hair and green eyes. For a moment I actually thought that I saw him before but I wasn't sure. "That hatred..." The guy continued his speech. "It's nearly as great as my own. We're quite alike, you and I." What the hell was he talking about? How could I be like him? This were the questions I started to wonder about until I was caught off guard by Lee that grabbed my waist, pulling me behind.

"That will only lead to your defeat!" He yelled. "An Uchiha shouldn't let his guard down!" Then Lee threw me away, making me fall on the ground. Shit, he was strong. But then I heard other voices and focused my attention on Naruto and Neji. Naruto was laying down on the ground with a painful expression on his face.

"You're not going to defend yourself? How pathetic." Neji talked to him as if he was on a superior level. What a dick. "That's not going to help you at all!" He said because of Naruto groans of pain. "What do you think you can achieve like that, huh?" But since my best friend didn't answer, he got angrier. "Answer me!" He yelled while throwing a kick on his face. He was a fucking coward because he needed two friends to keep me busy while he fought Naruto. More groans of pain were heard from Naruto as Hinata cried out loud. This was already a terrible scenario and having girls watching it only made it worse.

"Damn it, Naruto. What are you doing?" I muttered to myself as I started to get up. Why wasn't he fighting back?

"I'm not going to let you mock my family, you understand?!" Neji yelled as he grabbed Naruto's collar. "You hold the blood of the one who murdered my father, so you will let Hinata go or I'll show you who I am!" He returned with his fucking threats.

"You can't scare me." Naruto finally spoke. "Plus, you're wrong because my father didn't kill anyone. That's why I don't want to fight you, so you just listen to me!" He added, remaining calm while blood came out of his mouth. In the meantime, a figure showed up behind me.

"This fight isn't over yet, so here's a little advice..." The red haired guy muttered to me as he hit me hard on the face with his elbow, making me fall on the ground. Shit, my face was hurting like hell.

"Wait, Gaara! We only had to distract him so that he would not interfere with Neji..." Lee said to him, confirming my suspicions. "That's why we are accompanying him! We don't want this fight to get out of hand!" He yelled at the Gaara guy as I tried to stand up again.

"Shut up!" Gaara simply said, kicking my knee which made me scream in pain.

"That's not fair! At least let him get to his feet!" Lee kept speaking to Gaara but he didn't seem to bother himself.

"It doesn't matter, he's nothing." He responded, chucking his knuckles while we looked at each other. This guy was worse than I thought. As I started to get on my feet, Sakura appeared in front of me.



Sakura's POV

"Stop it! Stop hurting him!" I yelled at the red haired guy, trying hardly to control my tears. Seeing Sasuke like this was just heartbroken.

"Sakura!" Sasuke called me and I could feel surprise and anger on his voice for seeing me in the middle of all this mess. "Sakura, stay out of this! I told you to stay in the car!" He yelled at me but I wasn't going to listen to him.

"No! We're tired of just standing idly watching you guys like this!" I replied to my boyfriend with confidence on my voice. I had enough of this and I wouldn't stand any more of it. "Hinata and I... Are going to defend what we love the most!" I gave Gaara a determined and angry look.

"Love? That word and that same look again..." Gaara started to say but I couldn't understand anything. "I won't... Won't allow it... Won't allow..." He kept saying until he finished his speech. "You to look at me that away!" And with this he came to me with pure anger on his eyes.

"Wait, Gaara! Don't do this!" Lee screamed at him but it didn't seem to work.

"I don't care how strong you are but I won't budge from this spot!" I yelled back at him, keeping my posture.

"Get back, Sakura." Sasuke muttered to me, grabbing my wrist and pulling me behind him as he took the chance to kick Gaara's face again but this time with full force. "You're such a coward that you want to fight a girl? Fight with me instead!" He yelled as Gaara flew away from us but was grabbed by Lee. Damn, Sasuke was strong. I had no idea he could do this.

"Sasuke..." I simply muttered, looking at him with concern on my eyes. I knew he was going to be mad at me for what I did but a part of me didn't care. I wanted to protect him this time.

"Just in time..." Sasuke spoke to himself as he massaged his knee.

"His knee was hurt so badly... Yet he was still able to protect her..." Gaara was muttering although we were able to hear him. "Is that what it means?" He closed his eyes as Lee held him.

"Gaara... What are you talking about?" Lee gave him a confused look, staying by his friend side.

"Sakura, are you crazy?" The raven haired boy turned to me, giving me his angry look. "You could have been badly hurt if I hadn't acted!" He spoke to me but all I could think about was how much of a burden I had been to him. "I know you really want to help but I don't want you getting involved in situations like this..." Our faces were now inches away and he closed his eyes. "Especially because if anything were to happen to you, I'd go crazy myself." He then closed the gap between us kissing me passionately. I kissed him back as I hugged his neck, pulling him closer to me. I loved this man so much.
