The Choice (SasuSaku)

Chapter 6

I woke up with my mom calling my name while she opened the curtains, allowing the natural light to come inside my bedroom. I muttered some words before opening my eyes and sitting up on my bed just to face my mom that had a very shocked expression on her face. Shit, I completely forgot about what happened yesterday.

"Sakura, can you explain me what happened to your hair?" She asked with concerned visible on her eyes but I couldn't tell her the truth. That would only worry her and that's something I didn't want to happen. She already has a lot to think with her work on the hospital.

"You see, mom... I..." I had to come up with something and fast until an idea hit me. "Last night I went to Ino's and we were all trying new looks so I decided to change mine. I was getting tired of my long hair so I asked the girls to help me cut it. But as you can see, it didn't went that well." I explained, looking at her with hope on my eyes. Please believe it...

"Oh, honey..." She let out a laugh, touching my messed up hair. "You should've ask me for help. I wouldn't say no to something like that."

"I know but we were having so much fun that we overreacted." I laughed too, trying to forget what really happened to my hair.


After this, my mom took me to the bathroom where she fixed up my hair and the result was amazing. It looked really nice and somehow it seemed like my face was more visible. Now I just wanted to see Sasuke's reaction, I was hopping he would like it as well.

I looked at my phone screen where it marked 7:30 a.m. and since I had classes at 8:30 I started to get myself ready. First I went to take a shower which made my body relax and remember, for the one hundreth time, the last night events with Sasuke. But what did they mean? Were we dating now? I was really confused and I couldn't wait to be with him today. Once I was done with my shower I returned to my bedroom where I dressed my underwear followed by my school uniform that was a white shirt with a black skirt, black socks up to the knees and black shoes. I took care of my new hair, brushing it smoothly and finished with washing my teeth. I was finally ready and when I looked at my watch it already marked 8:00. Shit, I can't be late! I grabbed my backpack and a bag and ran downstairs just to be met by my parents that were about to leave.

"Good morning, sweetie." My dad greeted me, showing his huge smile and left a kiss on the top of my head. "Nice hair cut, I really like it." He added.

"Thanks, dad." I smiled back, getting an apple from the kitchen. "By the way, can you drop me at school? Because if I take the bus I might be late." I looked at him, hope filling my eyes.

"Of course, I still have some time left anyway." He answered and went to my mom. "Have a nice day, I love you." He gave her a kiss and turned around, leaving to the car. My parents had an amazing relationship and even though they had their problems they would always find a way to solve them.

"Bye mom, I love you!" I spoke to the blonde woman and gave her a hug. She was an incredible mom and always had time for me and my dad despise her work.

"Bye honey, I love you too! And have a nice day." She smiled to me and waved goodbye while I got in the car. After having my seatbelt put my dad took off. I was pretty nervous to go to school and a part of me knew perfectly that it had to do with a certain raven haired boy.


Once we got to the school gates, my dad stopped the car and we said our goodbyes before I left the vehicule. He drove away and I went inside the school gates only to be met by my two bestfriends.

"Hey, Sakura. So spill it all out! What happened between you and..." Ino interrupted herself on the moment she took a look at my hair. She was pretty shocked and I could tell that Hinata was feeling the same way. For a moment I forgot that they didn't knew what happened yesterday. "Sakura... What happened to your hair?!" Ino panicked, grabbing my hands and taking me to our spot, where we used to spend the free times between classes. Hinata followed without saying a word, she was still very shocked.

"Well... It's kind of a long story." I said, starting to tell them everything that happened. From the incident with Karin to when Sasuke took me home.

"So, in the end, Karin got off free! You shouldn't leave it like this, Sakura! She's dangerous." Ino spoke while shaking her head.

"She's right. What happened to you shouldn't be unnoticed." Hinata agreed with Ino.

"I mean... Remember when we were kids? It was so important to you!" My blonde haired friend continued and I knew she was right. But somehow I liked this new look. It seemed to mean change and grown.

"Look, guys... It wasn't so bad. Luckily my mom was able to fix it!" I showed a smile, touching my short hair. "Now I just have to wait a while for it to grow long again." I let out a small laugh.

"That's not enough, Sakura! You have to talk to the principal and explain what she did to you." Ino was getting frustrated and I completely understood that but I didn't want to keep feeding this war between me and Karin. My focus now was Sasuke.

"Actually... I want to avoid any more problems. There are more important things to do." I shyly said, feeling my cheeks getting hot.

"That's just it! And that's something stupid Karin will never have." Ino said, fangirling in the process. "What are you waiting for? Aren't you going to find him?"

"Now that you mention it... I do have to return the jacket he lent to me." I looked away, showing a smile. "This is a great opportunity!"

"So, what are you waiting for? Go and show him what you're made of!" Ino yelled while holding Hinata that was trying to calm her down. What a friend that I had... She was really crazy but I didn't know what would I do without her.

"I'm going now. See you later, girls!" I waved them goodbye and went inside the school bulding, looking for Sasuke.
