Funeral pt. 1

As soon as the bell ranged I bolted out my classroom and towards the exit. I haven't heard from John since he told me he was planning a funeral, I really feel bad about his turtle. I quickly walked down the sidewalk and kept a fast pace to get there early, I then heard footsteps behind me. I halted my walking and turned around and saw James, Laf and Th-Jefferson? Why is he here? I stood there and waited for them to catch up when they did James was hunched over panting while Laf was fanning himself and Th-Jefferson looked ok sorta "damn you walk fast" James said "why is he here?" I asked while pointing to Th-Jefferson "oh he asked to come" James said finally standing up straight "mon ami toi walk fast for someone so short" Laf said while putting all his weight on me "that's a lot coming from a beanstalk" I said while slipping from under him causing him to almost fall "come on I want to be on time" I said as I began to walk "d'accord" Laf mumbled as he followed same for James and Th-Jefferson. We continued to walk in silence until my phone buzzed, I looked at who texted me and saw Angie's name across my screen. The message said that they were already at Lauren's place and so was Mulligan "I just got word from one of the sisters that they're already there along with Herc" I said while texting back my response "yay mon amour is already there" Laf said with a bright eyed smile "kudos to you" I mumbled as I pocket my phone "aww is the little lion upset" Laf said with a teasing manner " suck a dick Laf" I grumbled "je already did~" he said with a smirk "woah" James said while Th-Jefferson's mouth went wide "I'm gonna kill Herc when I see him" I mumbled loud enough for them to hear "I did not need to know about your sex life" James said while shuddering. We continued walking in silence till Lauren's house came into view, I quickly picked up my pace until I was full on sprinting to his house. I took out my spare key and unlocked the door "John!" I called out as I walked in "we're in the backyard!" I heard Eliza's voice rang back, I swiftly began to walk towards the door that leads outside. John had his head rested on Peggy's shoulder while tears streamed down his face, Peggy ran her fingers threw his curly hair while telling him reassuring words. "Hey John" I greeted as I walked closer so he can see me, he lifted his head from Peggy's shoulder and looked at me with teary eyes "lex!" He said while getting up and walking towards me but soon stopped as a look of murder crossed his face "hello Jefferson" Laurens said in a grim tone, I turned around and I was instantly met with someone's chest. I looked up and saw Th-Jefferson with a bashful expression on his face "Hey John"........Everything was so calm what happened? Laurens lunged himself at Th-Jefferson yelling insults, Peggy and Eliza held him back while Angie walked towards us " I don't mean to sound rude but why is he here" she asked me quietly "way to not be rude" Jefferson ;fucking finally; said sarcastically, Angelica sent him a glare which caused him to instantly shut up " James said he wanted to come" I said with a shrug as I walked past her and to one of the lounge chairs and sat down. James, Laf and Herc finally came threw the door and their eyes widened " what the hell is going on?!" James asked while walking towards an angered John " John calm down" James said while placing a hand on his shoulder which caused him to stop thrashing "James" he whispered as he stepped closer to him "are you ok?" James asked him while placing a hand on his cheek, John didn't respond as tears welled in his eyes then streamed down his face. James grabbed his wrist and lead him towards the couch and sat down, I looked over at Jefferson who looked out of place. He stood there awkwardly while looking around until his eyes landed on me, he sent me a crooked smile which I dismissed by turning me head in the other direction ; I should be trying to patch things up with him but there's this burning sensation telling me otherwise;
