Sasuke's POV
My sword clashed with at least three kunai at once. I looked behind me, where Sarada was sleeping. Good. She's still asleep. I thought.
Sakura finally came in, helping me fight the four men left. "Can you handle the rest? I want to get Sarada out of here safely." Sakura asked. "Yeah. Thanks." I said as I continued fighting, watching her take our sleeping daughter out.
Be safe, you two.
Sakura's POV
It was like war was brought into a single hospital room. I carried Sarada away, hoping Sasuke would keep himself safe and nobody would come after us. I ran out of the hospital. Where do I go? Home won't be safe. Should I go to Naruto's? I thought as I made up my mind and ran to the Uzumaki house.
Hinata's POV
I ran to the door after hearing a knock and opened it. "Sakura?" I asked. "It's a long story." She sighed. "Come in. You look beat!! Let me make you some tea or something!" I said as I let her in.
We sat in the living room. "So you were being followed....I see. You're always welcome here, you and your family." I said. "Thank you." She said. She looked at Sarada and began combing Sarada's hair with her fingers. "Are you two alright?" I asked. "She could use some help. I think I'm fine." She said as she began using medical ninjitsu on her daughter's forehead.
"Did she get a head injury?" I asked in concern. "A small one I think." She responded. Sarada stirred in Sakura's arms as she woke up. "Hey, sleepyhead. How are you feeling?" Sakura asked sweetly, continuing her jutsu.
"Where are we?" Sarada said without answering Sakura's question. "We're at Aunt Hinata and Uncle Naruto's. Are you ok?" She asked again. "I think." Sarada replied.
"Mom!!! Who's here!?" Boruto shouted. "Sarada and Sakura. Quiet down, please. I just got Himawari to sleep." Hinata said to Boruto as he sprinted downstairs to meet up with us. "Hi, Sarada!!" Boruto exclaimed. "Quiet down, Boruto....you're being loud." Sarada complained. "Alright, Sarada. Be nice." Sakura said.
"So, how long do you think you'll be with us for?" I asked. "As soon as things settle down, Sasuke should be talking with Naruto about what he thinks about the situation." Sakura said. "I see. Feel free to stay as long as you need." I said. "Thanks. It really means a lot." She said. "Anytime." I said.
Sasuke's POV
I walked out of the hospital room. I found a nurse and explained the issue that was just resolved and she said she'd have it cleaned and she apologized for the inconvenience with my daughter. I walked out of the hospital and was on my way to wherever Sakura and Sarada were.
I arrived at the Uzumaki household. I knocked as it was soon answered by Boruto. "Uncle Sasuke!" He shouted as he jumped at me. "Hey. Is Sarada here?" I asked. "Yeah! So is Aunt Sakura!" He grinned. He was a spitting image of his father. I nodded and hurried to find them.
I saw her on the couch with Sarada in her arms. "Sakura." I said. "Babe!" Sakura said as she set Sarada down and ran to me, hugging me. "You're safe!! I was so worried!!" She said. "You shouldn't worry so much about me." I said. She pouted at me, frustrated that I told her not to worry. I rolled my eyes and pulled her head in and kissed her.
"Ewwwww!!! Uncle Sasuke!!! That's grossss!!" Boruto whined.
"Stop it, Dad!!! That's so gross!!" Sarada followed him.
I broke the kiss. "You'll understand when you have a wife of your own Boruto. Sarada, you'll understand when you have a husband, which I'll never allow." I said, going back to my wife and kissing her again. "I'm home!" Naruto's voice called. Hinata welcomed him.
"Wel, well, well. What do we have here?" Naruto asked. I broke the kiss again. "Just kissing my wife." I said. "Sureeee." Naruto said in a deep voice, a pervy grin on his face. "Shut up. I never see you kissing your wife. Bet you never have." I sassed. He pulled Hinata close to him. "N-Naruto! What are you-" Hinata was interrupted by Naruto passionately kissing her.
"What was that about?" Sakura whispered. "Just trying to shut the idiot up so I can continue." I said, kissing her once again.
"This is so gross!! I'm going outside!" Boruto yelled, Sarada following him.
We broke the kiss and looked to Hinata and Naruto, who were still in the midst of a passionate kiss. Naruto finally broke it as they both looked at us, their faces completely covered in a red blush. "Hn. Loser." I said. Sakura jabbed me in the side. "Be nice, babe." Sakura said. I rolled my eyes and walked away to find the kids.
I told them that they should be inside with us to visit as they came in.
"Anyone want dinner?" Naruto asked. "Sure. Thank you." I said, Sakura nodding at my side. We looked to the kids, realizing they had fallen asleep on the couch while watching TV together. Sakura and I smiled gently as I walked to Sarada, picking her up and moving a pillow somewhere comfortable for her head to rest. I covered her up and did the same routine to Boruto after.
We sat at the Uzumaki's dinner table and ate. "So, do you think there's anyone else, Sasuke?" Naruto asked. "I don't think so but I guess we'll find out. Is it ok if Sakura and Sarada spend the night here tonight? I want to see if there's anything at our house." I said.
Sakura's POV
I couldn't believe what he just said. Is he really risking his life like this? I mean, sleeping at a targeted area that he could be assassinated at? "Sasuke, wait." I said. "Sakura. You know I must do this." Sasuke said, returning his attention back to Naruto who was about to say something.
"Yes. I'm coming with you though. I think it'll be more productive if one of us hides outside of your house and one acts as a sleeping decoy so there's a lower chance that nobody gets killed." Naruto said. "Ok. It's settled. The girls and Boruto will stay here." Sasuke said. "Sasuke, a word outside?" I asked, masking the anger that could spill out into a rotten mess of cursing him. He nodded and walked outside with me.
"Are you serious?! I don't even have a say in this!? Babe! You realize him much is on the line right now!" I shouted. "Calm down." He sighed. That was it.
"Calm down!? You're telling me to calm down!? Seriously!? I don't think that's fair to say after leaving your family for years and then risking your life!! I've been trying to stay calm for so long that I don't even know what to do with my real feelings!! Sasuke! You don't realize how hard a long distance relationship is when the other person isn't able to contact you and is never home with your daughter! Sasuke! I have nothing without you!! I barely have anything with you!!! Please!! Don't leave me again!!!" I shouted at him, tears spilling down my jawline.
He looked at me and wrapped me in a hug. "Sakura. You have no idea how hard it is for me to leave you and never see you. I don't want to do this either. We need to make sure our family is safe though. We can't have anything happen to our daughter and if something happened to you, I don't even want to tell you what I'd do to myself. I know it's really hard right now but we need to fight through this together, ok?" He said. "I'm sorry I yelled at you." Is all I said. "Babe. You have every right to be mad. I'm surprised you haven't given me a beating." He chuckled, trying to lighten the mood.
"Don't give me ideas." I responded with a smile as he let go of me.
"I love you so much, Sakura. I'm glad you're my wife." He said.
"I love you too, Sasuke. I'm really happy that you're my husband." I said.
