Sakura's POV

I woke up. I had finally gotten a good night of sleep. I rolled onto my side, facing Sasuke. Or at least where he would be. He wasn't there. I got up and looked at his nightstand that usually explained why he was gone.

Went to get groceries for breakfast. Don't worry about making it, I'll do it. See you soon, love. Happy anniversary

-Sasuke.

That's right....our anniversary is today. I smiled at his note. Then I remembered what happened last time he had cooked. In the middle of cooking, he had been called to the Hokage office for a crucial part of a meeting that he couldn't attend. He shouted for me and told me to finish it but he didn't tell me what he was making. It was terrible. I had to make a new dish and felt bad after he came back to a new breakfast course.

I laid back down, relaxing for the first time in quite a number of days. I eventually fell back asleep.

"Mama!" Sarada's sweet voice shouted. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. "What's wrong, baby girl?" I asked. "Happy anniversary!" She said. I opened my eyes. Sasuke was there, holding a small tray of food for me. "Happy anniversary, Sakura." He smiled. "Happy anniversary." I said. He put the tray down on a nearby coffee table as Sarada walked out. He leaned to me and kissed me. "Thank you." I said. "No problem, love." He said. He laid in bed with me and began eating with me. We finished eating, I got ready for the day, and we were off to explore what the day had for us.

Hinata offered to watch Sarada so Sasuke and I could go out. Obviously, we took the opportunity.

"What do you want to do?" I asked. "Hm....maybe we could browse some stores?" Sasuke asked. "Sounds good. I'm ready when you are, baby." I said, kissing his cheek. He grabbed me by the waist. "You think you'll get away with that?" He smirked. He pushed my face in for a kiss.

We broke the kiss. "Sasuke, what the heck?!" I asked. "Wasn't expecting that?" He smirked. "No I wasn't." I laughed. He walked away, changing from his mission clothes into more casual clothes, and walking back to me. "Let's go, babe." He said, grabbing my hand as we began to walk out of the house.

We started at the cafe, getting coffee for the day. I got my normal caramel frappe and Sasuke got his usual black coffee because of his hate for sweets.

Next we went to Tenten's shop to look at weapons. We looked at some of her recommendations and bought a kunai that she was recommending.

After that, we went to see Ino and Sai at the flower shop. We talked for a while and even got to visit with Inojin, who is extremely shy and barely even talks to us.

We left the shop after Sasuke buying me a flower. We began walking to the next unknown destination.

"Anywhere else you want to go?" I asked. "No. Do you?" He asked. "No, not really. Do you want to just go home and watch a movie then?" I asked. "That sounds perfect." Sasuke said.

We got home. We put everything away and got some snacks before sitting on the couch and watching a movie. We really both missed cuddling like we used to before we had Sarada and Sasuke had so many long missions. He'd lay his head on my lap most of the time and I'd play with his hair. Sometimes I'd rest my head on his lap and he'd play with my hair. It all was up to how tired he was and tonight he was pretty tired.

I chose a movie for us. "Thanks, baby." Sasuke said. "Hm? What?" I asked after not paying attention. "Thank you, baby." He said, turning his head to look at me. I bent over and kissed his forehead. "Thank you, baby." I said.

We continued the movie as I played with his hair, knowing he'd fall asleep eventually. He wasn't sleeping lately. If he was, he'd only get about an hour or two. He was so focused on keeping Sarada and I safe. My phone buzzed in the couch armrest as I picked it up.

Keeping Sarada for the night! Enjoy a night with your hubby!!

I smiled at Hinata's text. She was always so nice. "Who was that?" Sasuke asked, half asleep because I stopped playing with his hair. "Hinata. She said she was taking Sarada for the night so we could be together in peace." I said as he turned to look up at me. He smiled softly. "I never thought Naruto would find a good wife like her. I would expect him to choose someone who he's 'momentarily' in love with. Like how he was with you." He said. "Are you calling me a bad wife?" I laughed. "No, no, dear. You're far beyond amazing. The best I could ask for. I'm so lucky I have you." He said as he sat up.

"Sasuke, I never really thought you felt that way...." I began. "Why did you think I married you? To restore my clan?" He asked. I said nothing. I didn't know what to answer with because that's what everyone had been telling me so I started believing it.

"Sakura.....I'm sorry......I didn't know you felt that way.....I'm so so sorry......" He said, his eyes painted in worry. His thumb brushed against my cheek as he wiped a tear away. "Baby, I never wanted you to think that......I love you for you, not just so I can 'restore my clan'......come here, baby." He said, pulling me into a hug. He was so gentle with me when we were alone. I hugged him back tightly as I began to cry, not knowing who to believe...

Sasuke or the world.
