Sasuke's POV

I woke up at the same time as Sakura. We got ready for the procedure at the clinic and it was finally time.

"Nervous?" Sakura asked as she got an IV ready.

"Honestly, a little." I said, looking at the ceiling.

"Why are you nervous?" She asked as she made sure everything was in order.

"Well, this is one of my first surgeries. Isn't it natural to be nervous?" I asked.

"Yes, but I mean, you're the Sasuke Uchiha." Sakura joked with a soft smile.

"Whatever. How much longer until we start?" I asked. "Not too much longer. I just have to prepare everything and double check that Tsunade has the Hashirama Cell arm." She said as she walked to a phone and called someone.

"Hey, you've got that arm ready, right?.......Yeah. We're doing it today.........alright, see you soon." She said between her conversion.

"What's the news?" I asked. "She'll be here in a minute with your new arm." She said. I nodded an ok. "What do we do until then?" I asked. "We just sit here." She said, sitting at my bedside and holding my hand. She rubbed her thumb across the top of my hand, relaxing me and telling me that I'd be ok.

Tsunade came in and gave her a box. "Here. You sure you can do this procedure on your own? You don't need me?" Tsunade asked. "Yeah. I got it." Sakura said. Tsunade left and we were getting started.

Sakura injected a numbing medicine into the part of my arm that would be getting its new addition. "Let me know if you feel any pain or feel like you're going to pass out during the procedure, ok, babe?" Sakura asked. I nodded a yes and we began.

She began stitching the new addition to the little stub of an arm I had. It finally felt natural. It felt good to have all of my limbs, even if this one wasn't really real.

"Alright! We're finished with the first part!" Sakura smiled. "What do you mean, first part?" I asked. "There are three parts: stitching the arm on, getting the nerves together, and relearning how to use the arm." Sakura said. I nodded and sat up.

"When do we do part two?" I asked. "We can do it in an hour. We have to let the numbing wear off." She said. "So do we just sit here then?" I asked. "Yep." She said. She sat down on my bedside again.

"You know, you can lay down with me. I don't bite most of the time." I said. She laid back and rested her hand on my chest.

She sighed. "You ok?" I asked. "Yeah. It's been a long week." She said. "Yeah. When should we get Sarada?" I asked. "If you want, either today or tomorrow." Sakura said.

About an hour had passed. We began preparing for the second part and soon after began.

She began healing the nerves together. Though most of them had joined during the surgery, they still needed to finish up and get practically glued together.

She finished with that after about thirty minutes.

"Babe? Are you ok?" I asked. She looked exhausted.

"Yeah....just give me a sec." She said as she began to pass out. "Sakura!" I caught her with my regular arm. She really overdid it this time.

"Tsunade!!!" I shouted, hoping someone would either come in or get Tsunade for me.

"What happened here?!" Her voice boomed as she strutted in. "She overdid it again." I said. "Seriously? This is why I was supposed to do it with her." She said. "Sorry." I said. "It's not your fault, Sasuke." She said as she took Sakura and put her on a chair so I could rest my arm.

"Let me help you with the next part while she's out." Tsunade offered. "Ok." I said.

We finished about two hours of basic exercises for my new limb. "Now. Don't use that arm for a lot, ok? I'd prefer you exercise it instead of using it. No lifting, fighting, or anything too active with that arm. Understand? This is extremely important for you to get the right care for it." Tsunade explained.

"Understood." I said. She nodded and left, as soon as she walked out the door, you could hear her sigh and say 'Shizune, I'm going out for a drink.'

I chuckled at her habit. She never really changed at all.

Sakura woke up about an hour after Tsunade left. I was getting used to my new arm still in hat hour. "Hey." I said as I walked to her. "Hey. How's your arm?" She asked. "Good. Tsunade went through exercises with me and gave me instruction on what to do from now until she meets with me next. How was your nap?" I asked. "It was nice. Though I'm out of chakra pretty much now, I'm good. How are you feeling? I know surgeries can exhaust you." Sakura said. "I'm fine." I said, even though I was exhausted.

"You're clearly exhausted. Let's go home and rest." She said as she got up. "Are we getting Sarada?" I asked as we walked it out the room. "If you want to have her back today. If not, we can get her tomorrow." Sakura shrugged.

"Let's get her tomorrow. One more time we can rest together without interruption." I said, holding her hand.

We got home. "So, I've been learning how to do some stuff with my new hand." I said as we sat down on the couch. "Like what?" She asked. I grabbed her hand with my new hand, intertwining my fingers with hers.

"That's cute babe. It means a lot." She said. "What do you mean?" I asked. "It means a lot that one of the first things you learn to do is hold a hand for me." She smiled, laying down with her head on my lap. "I also learned to play with your hair." I said, beginning to play with her hair, using both hands.
