"Jon," Ella entered the Lord Commander's office, Asena right at her heels. Her face was flushed from the cold as Jon allowed her to sit down. "We need to talk."

"What is it?" Jon asked as his steward, Olly, shut the door behind them.

Ella caught her breath before speaking to her twin. "We have to save the wildlings."

"What are you going on about, Els?" Jon asked, eyeing his sister.

"We have to save the wildlings," Ella repeated.

"And why is that?" Jon furrowed his eyebrows together.

"There are a hundred thousand of them out there. Sitting out in the open with no protection from the White Walkers. We have to protect them," Ella said.

Ella watched as Jon scrunched his face. Her brother looked as though he ate rotten meat from the feast for defeating the wildlings. "The Night's Watch won't allow them to pass through. We've been fighting each other for thousands of years. Men of the Night's Watch, good men, died fighting them!"

"You act as though I don't know that!" Ella shouted. "Pyp died in my arms that night, or did you forget? It was His blood that covered my body, no one else's."

"Aye, I remember!" Jon yelled back at Ella. "You can't just change things over night Ella. It's not the way the world works."

"Well then maybe this world needs a change," Ella said, puffing out her chest. "We need to bring the wildlings South, or they'll all die. Every single one of them will become part of the Army of the Dead of we don't do something."

Jon sighed as he rubbed his temples. "And how do you plan on getting a hundred thousand people South of the Wall? You don't have the horses or the men to carry out such an expedition, Ella."

"Yes I do," Ella stated. "Stannis has the men, the horses, and ships if we need them."

"Stannis will never help us unless we-"

"I'm going to accept his offer, and so should you," Ella said firmly. "If he wants them to fight in his army, then he can start by saving them."

"You're going to accept? Just like that? Ella, this is madness," Jon fussed. "This is a suicide mission, you know that right? The Free Folk hate us."

"I'm highly aware of that, Jon, but this is the right thing to do." Ella said , crossing her arms across her chest. "And if accepting Stannis' offer is the only way to help them, then so be it. It has nothing to do with my desire to be name a legitimized Stark. This is greater than me. Than you and Stannis. This is greater than all of us. We have the chance to do the right thing, Jon. As you said, Westeros has been fighting the wildlings for thousands of years. It's about time to make things right. They were born on the wrong side of the Wall. That doesn't make them foes."

"I'm sorry Ella, but there's nothing I can do. The Night's Watch has fifty men now. I have to focus my time on rebuilding our forces and repairing the Wall. We don't have the men to spare to save them." Jon sighed, failing to make Ella see how big of a mistake it would be to try to save the Free Folk.
