Ella caught a glimpse of the Night King through a break in the storm clouds. She pulled on Rhaegal's horns, guiding him to circle around and catch Viserion off guard.

Blue fire extinguished half the siding of Winterfell as the Night King flew over the castle. Anger coursed through Ella's veins as she examined all the destruction from the Night King.

The young wolf clutched the scales of Rhaegal tighter as the green dragon flew straight towards his brother. Rhaegal slammed hard into Viserion, causing Ella to loosen her grip slightly. The lone wolf held onto Rhaegal with all her might, avoiding the hundred foot fall to the ground. Rhaegal dug his claws into the back of Viserion, preventing him from escaping. The dragons scratched and snapped at each other for several minutes. Rhaegal sank his large teeth into Viserion's neck, ripping at his scales.

Ella noticed Viserion digging his talons into Rhaegal's chest as the two brothers swirled around midair. The lone wolf commanded Rhaegal to pull away, for she couldn't allow Daenerys to lose another dragon due to her recklessness.

Viserion snapped at Rhaegal's wing, taking a large chunk with him. Rhaegal roared in pain, only to dig his teeth further into his neck. Blood poured from Viserion's face, along with wild shots of blue flames. The lone wolf noticed the Night King pull an icy spear from his back. The same weapon he used to take down Viserion. Ella tugged on Rhaegal's scales, in the hopes of pulling him away from the Night King.

Rhaegal struggled to pull away from Viserion as the dead dragon continued to spew blue flames from the side of his neck. Ella braced herself for an attack from the Night King, but it never came. The lone wolf glanced up to see Drogon appear out of nowhere and pull Viserion away from Rhaegal. Ella looked down to see the Night King falling to the ground, his ice spear falling with him.

The green dragon lowered himself to the ground as Drogon and Viserion disappeared behind dark storm clouds. Rhaegal struggled to find his footing, sliding across a thick patch of snow. Ella fell off Rhaegal's back as the giant creature took off once more. She landed on her back, sending a screeching shot of pain through her entire body.

Daenerys appeared through the low hanging clouds, just as Ella's eyes landed on the Night King in the distance. The wolf scrambled to her feet as her eyes remained on Daenerys and the Night King.

"Dracarys!" She heard the Dragon Queen shout. The Night King remained still as Drogon rained fire upon him. This was their chance to destroy the Night King and end the Great War.

But something didn't sit right with Ella. He remained still and didn't try to fight back. As the flames engulfed the Night King, Drogon let out a low screech. Daenerys hovered over the ring of fire, keeping a watchful eye on where the Night King once stood.

Ella hobbled across piles of dead bodies, trying to see their victory for herself. The Night King was defeated, and the Army of the Dead would crumple along with him. But their victory never came.
