Chapter 44: Ghost Of The Past

We reached the line of the forest that stopped, his men behind and they seemed to span in thousands.

My eyes caught on the hundred in the front, all of them eyeing us and lookin starved.

Lily stood in the middle of them and gave me a long stare, "Dear Annalise, its so lovely to see you. Ah and you brought my traitorous son." Lucious said as Michael stepped up behind me.

He outnumbered us in his army by at least three maybe four hundred.

'Don't worry, he's about to lose a lot of them.'

"Mitsy?" Lana's voice broke the silence before she stepped forward and stared to another, "Vince. Oh my god. Oh god." She turned and threw up all over the floor.

My eyes moved to the crowd and I heard her say his name before I saw him, "Kris!" Eva shouted.

Kristoffer stood dressed in armor, all of the changed seemed to have a large red X on their chest, and looking just like his old self, Only this time his eyes glowed red.

"Oh my god it's Tyler." Vydia said softly.

He awakened our weaknesses.

Lucious smirked, "Such a lovely reunion, now if you don't mind Lily, I'd like to get this war started, we shouldn't keep Israfel waiting." He said gesturing to the army.

I watched as Lily kept eye contact with me before she gave a small nod, "Attack." She shouted.

We all braced for it, afraid to hurt those we loved, but in that moment, Lily ran for me. She reached out side and stood, staring over at Lucious as the changed vampires attacked.

Only, they didn't attack us, they took down their first and second line.

"Anne, I told you before, don't you ever doubt my loyalty to you. Now where's Kai?" She asked staring over the crowd.

Her eyes must've landed on him because she went sprinting down after him.

What is with her and Kai?

I held my gun and shot the sky signaling for the war to begin.

We ran in, swords and guns, fire blazing and grenades everywhere.

Slamming my fist into one of their mouths, I watched his jaw disconnect with his head.

Going to the next, I continued until I made it to Kristoffer and Eva.

Kris stared at me in awe before pulling me to his chest. I hugged him back and held back my cry, this is a war, not a reunion yet.

Pulling back, I stared at Eva, "You two take real good care of each other. Got it?" I asked watching them nod.

Good.

Handing Kris my gun, I watched him take it and smile, "You two as well." He said nodding to Michael.

I gave a smile and looked back at Mikey, "Duck!" I shouted to him as the count grew on us.

Michael ducked down and I pictured my wings before spinning quick and swift with my wings expanded.

Standing up, I looked to the many cut up bodies that lied on the floor.

Good.

'I didn't know you could do that.'

Neither did I.

A blast of hot fire grew in one of the areas, a part of me thought it was Kala up until I heard the roar of a dragon.
