heat in december

you watched the sleeping brunette besides you intensely while you played very softly with his delicious curls. white sheets were tangled up your bodies and your legs were hooked underneath.
his shirtless chest poked out, exposing his chest hair as his chest rose and felt while he breathed. you still were absolutely speechless about him, in your mind, there were no such words to even describe his beauty a single bit.

you looked up at him, hands still hooked around his curls. reaching up to his neck you placed sweet little kisses on his skin. he breathed out but you didn't stopped, kissing up his jaw to the slight rosy cheek of his. pressing more and more kisses on his cheek, he woke up. his eyes opened, plump lips parted and he immediately grinned when he turned his head to you.

"mhh" he groaned.

you chuckled, cupping his face with your hands, "morning baby."

he pulled you into his embrace, hiding his head in the crook of your neck mumbling a good morning to you.
he then pulled away, looking at your face before he pecked your lips once. he lowered his position until he was face-to-face with your showing bump, placing kisses all over your exposed skin.

"how are my beautiful girls, huh?" his raspy voice asked.

you smiled, rubbing your hand over your seven months big bump, adoring the view of your fiancé stroking your skin and pressing sloppy kisses onto it.

"good, slept surprisingly good tonight." you hummed. shawn grinned in response, positioning his face so his chin rested gently on your belly.

"hey my little troublemaker, it's dadda. you missed me? i've been gone for a couple of weeks to play some shows so i can be here for mama and you now." he said in a childish voice making you laugh. your whole heart fluttering.

" 'course she missed you." you assured him.

he rested his head on your belly, stroking up and down. suddenly he began to sing some words, getting lost in his imagination.

you enjoyed your company in bed for the next hour or so, sharing sweet moments before your stomach grumbled and you couldn't hold back your craving for avocado-toast any longer.
you crawled out of bed, hopped into the shower and then changed into some sweats, a sweater and some super thick, snuggly x-mas socks.

walking into the living room, you looked outside over Toronto which laid there, covered with a blanket of white snow.
shawn stood in the kitchen, shirtless with blue-grey pajama bottoms and adorably messy hair. he'd already made your tea and had placed it in the counter so all you had to do was sit down, slide your hands around the warm mug and enjoying every single breath.

soon after, shawn places two plates on a tray along some fresh orange juice. picking the tray up, he carefully walked over the u-shaped couch and flopped down.

"c'mere" he called out, opening a blanket for you to crawl in.

you gripped your mug and waddled over to him.

"thank you." you hummed as you cuddled into his side, taking a bite of your avocado-toast.

"everything for you and little miss sunshine." he replied, taking a bite as well.

you ate in peace, enjoying each other's company when you felt a kick in your stomach.
you gripped shawn's hand and placed it onto your stomach.
your babygirl kicked again and shawn's face lit up immediately.

"oh baby" he cooed, causing every vein and every fiber of your body to overheat with complete love and addiction for him.

"we made that, hun." another coo, you giggled, nodded your head and brushed his nose with yours.

"i love you, shawn." you said before meeting his lips in a deep kiss that lasts way too short for your heart.

even though it was the middle of january and the two of you were cuddled up in blankets, your heart was heated like in the hottest summer. and all because, all you had in your life was perfect and there was no thing that couldn't fill you with more happiness than your soon to be born daughter and your charming fiancé.
