I look around the large white room, I don't think anyone is as freaked out as I am. I wish I never did it, I should have just gone to a therapist and maybe I could have gotten better, but now I'm here. I see a blonde girl look at my from the seat next to me, she's pretty, freckles, looks shy. I think she's just looking because I'm new here, I don't mind really. I decide to focus on what's on tv, the program playing looks so childish.
"Do you mind if I change the channel?" I ask the blonde girl.
"Go right ahead." She smiles and says with enthusiasm, I was wrong about her being shy. I grab the remote from the arm of the sofa and begin to flick through the channels. I notice that there is no violence in any of the tv shows playing.
"There's never anything good on, they never let us watch anything we want, with violence, sex, swearing, drugs, stuff like that." The blonde girl turns and says to me.
"So they never let us watch the good stuff." I laugh.
"Yeah," the girl laughs, "are you into that kind of stuff?"
"I've had my fair share of experiences, what about you?" I ask.
"Before I got into here I was really into it, but it's hard when you're here to do anything like that. Anyway, I'm Carly." My new friend says.
"Nice to meet you, my names Remi." I say and smile. We ended up talking for about two hours, about school, friends, past experiences, everything.
"Are you in a room by yourself?" Carly asks.
"Yeah, it's shit." I reply.
"Yeah no shit, I'm in a room by myself only because the person that I was sharing got to leave, lucky bitch." Carly says and laughs.
"Yeah, I can't wait to get out, I've only been here for three days and I'm already sick of it." I laugh.
"Do you want to go in a room with me?" She asks.
"Would the nurses let us?" I ask.
"I don't see why not." Carly says & gets up and walks towards the front desk. I decide to stay where I am and wait for her. I look over and it doesn't look like they're going to let us. I turn back to the tv and wait for her to come back. Carly returns with a nurse I haven't seen before.
"The nurses and I are allowing yourself and Carly to be in a room together. Remi, go pack your things and get ready to move into Carly's room. Carly, you help Remi gather her things. Ill be in in a moment to help you both." The nurse says.
We end up moving my stuff into Carly's room before the nurse comes to help.
"You'll sleep here." Carly says, chucking one of my bags on a single white bed.
