Claire's P.O.V

Claire's eyes shot open and her body snapped to sit upright. Bad idea. The throbbing pain in her head make her feel nauseous, and she flopped back down on the bed, her hands slapping on her head.

"Ow!" she yelped and Myrnin's head turned towards her quickly. "What-what happened? Myrnin?" her vision was blurry, and the room kept spinning.

"Claire," Myrnin said, leaning his face closer to hers, "I'm so sorry for this." that was all he said before she passed out again.

Myrnin's P.O.V

So sorry. So so so very very sorry!

She's awake my mind spoke to me.

"Myrnin?" my little Claire spoke to me. Did she not remember me? Was that possible after I almost drank her to death like a frozen slushy beverage?

I looked at her, she was so pale, she had bags under her eyes, too. She looked so frail and weak, just like Ada looked when this happened. Why did I do this? WHY? Vicious mind. Shut up!  You'r not helping here.

I drank so much. So much of my sweet darling's blood. She'll die. Slowly slipping away.

"Claire," I said to her, my head so very close to her beautiful face. "I'm so sorry for this."

I knew what I had to do. I had to. She'd die. My little Claire would die right in front of me. I could never handle that. I love her. More than I loved Ada. A lot more.

It's do or die, Myrnin. You know what you'd rather do. Yes. Yes I do know what I would rather do. I just never thought that this situation would ever appear as quickly as it had now.

Decisions. Decisions. Decision made. So sorry, my beautiful Claire.

Claire P.O.V

When Claire awoke again, she was thirsty. So very thirsty. She was now sat upright on the bed, between Myrnin's legs. Her headache was gone, but the pain in her neck make her want to scream. She didn't.

Claire blinked her eyes a few times, and her vision came into focus quickly. She felt stronger than he had before, too. She reached up to place a hand on where her neck throbbed with pain, and when she felt some type of liquid on her hand, she brought it back down to stare at it. Her eyes were wide, and that's when she screamed.

"What the hell happened!" she screamed as she twisted her body to stare at Myrnin.

"I'm so sorry, Claire," he spoke softly, "I never meant to almost kill you. You-you would have died if I didn't-" he cut himself off as he stared right into her eyes.

"If you didn't what, Myrnin?" now Claire was confused. Realization hit her there and then. And it hit her hard. "You-you've....Myrnin..." the serious sound in her voice caused Myrnin to turn away from her. "Myrnin....you turned me into a vampire..." the words faded out as she stared at him, not moving any part of her body. Not even breathing. Was that normal? Oh, right. She'd been turned into a vampire. Of course it was normal.

"Claire, I never ever wanted to do that. Please, please say you believe me." Myrnin was still looking away from her, but Claire could tell that his eyes were watering, he was fighting to keep the tears back.

"I know," that caught his full attention, "I know you never meant to do this," Claire moved closer to him, and sat on his lap, and wrapped her arms around his shoulders, resting her head on his. "I'm not angry, or mad, or anything else. Okay? It just feels weird..I feel....I think I feel hungry?" Myrnin gazed up at her, then handed her a plastic bag, with bright red liquid in it.

And that right there, Claire, is a really dark strawberry milkshake she told herself for comfort. Yeaaaaah, who am I kidding? You know It's blood, and you know you want it. So badly. She took the bag from Myrnin's hands and punctured a hole in it, and dripped some on to her tongue.

Claire looked up, in the reflection of the mirror, she saw herself. She looked a little more pale than she'd been before, but her eyes were no longer brown, they were red. Not caring all too much, she dank the rest of the blood in big, thirsty gulps. She noticed Myrnin in the corner of her eyes, looking at her in amazement, mixed with guilt. That didn't bother her. The blood didn't bother her. It only bothered her when she'd ran out.

Looking back at the mirror, the red in her eyes faded back to brown, and she felt a little more normal again. Not completely, but the feeling was there.

"You're not mad at me?" Myrnin spoke, so quietly, that if she was still human, she wouldn't have even heard it.

"Of course not. If I was mad at you, I'd have already staked you, Myrnin. Besides, this whole vampire thing might not be that bad?" wow. That was different. Never before in Claire's life had she ever thought being a vampire could be cool or anything positive. She'd never wanted to be a vampire at any point in her life, but now it was done, she could never go back. At least, she didn't think she could. But the light in her life since Myrnin and herself had moved forward, told her otherwise. She wanted to spend the rest of her life with Myrnin. Every single day, and she could tell that he wanted the same.

Then again, if she wasn't a vampire, she'd never be able to scare the crap out of Monica, Gina and Jennifer at any point in her life. This new change in lifestyle might actually be fun.

"Myrnin?" she asked, "Can you take me to see Michael? I need to see if he's okay."

"Of course," Myrnin stood up and went to his wardrobe. He pulled out a long black coat and a big black floppy hat. "But first, you may need these. We need to be careful." he smiled down at her, grabbed her by the waist, and pulled her down to the bed again, kissing her. "But first, how about some fun?" he grinned and winked at her.

Claire erupted in laughter and kissed him back, deep and full of love. "Oh, of course we can" she said, grinning against the kiss.

Her life was finally falling into place, great grades, a great boyfriend, and a thousand years to spend with him every single day.
