By the end of the week Peter still hadn't been back to school. He knew his friends were worrying due to the voicemails and the texts he had. But he just didn't have the motivation to answer them.

Tony soon knocked on his door and walked in, not waiting for a reply. Peter knew Tony was worried about him. He tried telling him that he was fine and nothing was wrong but he didn't believe him.

"Morning kid," he said with a small smile as he crouched down next to his bed.

Peter just closed his eyes, trying to ignore that he was there. Trying to get back to sleep.

"You okay Pete?" He asked as he began to run his fingers through Peter's curls.

Peter just mumbled something as he nodded. He soon realised he wasn't going to get back to sleep, he sighed as he opened his eyes and began stretching.

"Pete?" Tony was panicked slightly when he saw the scars on Peter's hips. "What's that?"

Peter quickly pulled his covers back up. "It's nothing."

"That isn't nothing. Can I see?" He asked softly while his heart was beating faster than it should.

"No," he said avoiding eye contact with him.

"It's okay."

Tony was panicking more than he was letting on. A lot more.

"Just come to me if you feel like doing that. Please."

Peter nodded just as Pepper soon showed up at the door, giving him a smile. A kind of sad smile.

"Happy's here. He's wanting to know if Peter's going to school today," she said to Tony since she knew he's better at getting through to Peter than she is.

They both watched seeing Peter's mood change as he turned over and faced the wall. Tony started rubbing his back.

"Are you wanting to go back to school?" He asked softer than usual surprising himself as much Pepper.

"No," Peter mumbled as tears formed in his eyes.

"Okay," he said just as softly as before.

He soon looked to Pepper to make sure she had heard. She just nodded and left to let Happy know.

"You know your friends are gonna be worried about you. Have you at least messaged them to let them know your okay?"

Peter stayed silent, he felt like he was going to cry he knew he couldn't, not now, not with Tony there. "Just go away," he whispered weakly.

"I can't do that."

"Why?" He asked, hearing his voice crack half way.

"Because I want to make sure your alright and I know your not. We don't need to talk but I don't wanna leave you alone right now," he said as Peter turned over slightly.

"Can I get a hug?" He asked nervously.

Tony smiled as he sat on Peter's bed, getting himself comfortable before letting Peter curl up next to him. Peter put his head on Tony's chest and his arm on his stomach.

Tony gave him a sad smile as he began running his fingers through Peter's curls again.

Peter had almost been asleep before a thought of Skip came into his mind. He opened his eyes as fast as he could and moved out Tony's arms.

"You okay?" Tony asked as he put his head on Tony's shoulder. Peter felt him run his fingers though his hair, he liked that, it calmed him.

Peter just stayed silent, he didn't want to talk about his nightmares, about Skip. He hated that they were back, that the flashbacks and dreams were back.
