A/N: This chapter will contain smut, so putting out a warning for mature content. If you're opposed to that, I suggest you give this one a miss, but let's be real, no one actually skips the best part, right? ;)

Suga lets his legs dangle off the kitchen counter as he observes the tea that Daichi had left to steep beside him. His boyfriend on the other hand, is opening and closing cupboards in succession in his search for honey, and Suga chooses not to point him to the right spot (the one right in front of him), because truth be told, Suga likes the domesticity of this whole scenario. He likes that in moments like this, when Daichi is preoccupied with something, he can almost distance himself and watch their lives from a third person's point of view. Every now and then when this happens, he marvels at how happy he is; how happy he is with Daichi.

Daichi has formed a habit of coming over every day the team doesn't have practice, weekends included. Suga sometimes wonders if his parents already figured that the pair were more than friends, and were just choosing not to say anything. Most of the time is actually spent studying in Suga's bedroom, with a healthy dose of cuddling in between.

Today is not a day for the books though, as Daichi is chewing on the inside of his cheek, the crease between his brows growing deeper as he closes the door of a cupboard he's already opened thrice.

"What's bothering you?" Suga asks, a steady gaze on his boyfriend as Daichi bends to search drawers close to the floor.

"It's just..." He moves on to the next drawer. "Is there nothing we can do to, where is the damned honey-" Daichi closes the drawers impatiently. "Is there nothing we can do about Asahi?"

Suga decides that now's the time to point the poor captain to the right cupboard, and gestures to it with a tilt of his head. Daichi emits a low grumble as he opens the doors and finds what he's looking for immediately. With narrowed eyes, he brings the honey to the counter and dutifully scoops a teaspoon of it into the steaming pot beside Suga.

"You know you're the one that likes your tea with honey, right?" Daichi feigns a look of annoyance. "I don't see what you stand to gain by watching me struggle this. whole. time." He pours the tea into a mug and rests it in between Suga's palms, leaning in to plant a kiss on his lips.

So domestic. Suga loves this, and this warm and fuzzy feeling is exactly what he stands to gain, but he isn't going to try to explain that to Daichi.

"I feel like something's not adding up," Daichi continues.

Suga nods, taking a sip of his tea. For some reason, the tea Daichi makes always tastes better, which never makes sense, because Suga does the exact same steps, uses the same tea bags, the same amount of honey as Daichi, but somehow, his boyfriend just does it better. "Y'know what's not adding up?" He sets his mug down. "It's Noya's behavior. He's usually so loud, and straightforward, and open. This whole enigmatic thing doesn't match," Suga suggests.

"Should we talk to him?"

Suga knows that by "we", Daichi means "you". Suga is closer to the wild kouhai of theirs; sometimes their energy levels would match up, feed off each other, even, and Daichi was never that excitable. Naturally, if one of the pair had to talk to Noya, it'd be Suga. He isn't sure if it's even in his place to scope Noya out like that, but to be honest, even if he were to take Asahi out of the equation entirely, he'd still be concerned about the rumors.

"If we have no ulterior motives-" Suga pauses to convince himself that yes, he has no ulterior motives. He's just a concerned senpai. No, he isn't doing this for Asahi. "We're not doing this to get Asahi laid," he picks up his mug again. "We actually want to know, like we're actually curious for ourselves," he pauses once more to study Daichi's expression to ascertain that he's on the same page. Satisfied with his boyfriend's resolute, innocent face and small nods of assent, he continues, "I'll ask if the chance arises."
